Nairne looked to have picked up Ryan Need from Cove, is that a decent get for them?

Handy for a side that was 1 kick away from a 3peat and haven’t lost anyone. Cheers mate.SFLanalyst wrote:An extremely good get. Plays association almost every year. Will dominate.Toto wrote:Nairne looked to have picked up Ryan Need from Cove, is that a decent get for them?

Re: Southern Football League
Thought the SFL might have grown some balls under new leadership. Hackham played in the C Grade when struggling for numbers. But the Club that pushed for Hackham and Sullies/Lonsdale to be kicked out of the League for not having 5 Saturday teams gets looked after.wenchbarwer wrote:Well, it's PlayHQ official, 9 team A grade - https://www.playhq.com/afl/org/southern ... de6/ladder

Re: Southern Football League
Everyone does realise that the other clubs are the ones who vote on these things don’t they? The league doesn’t just make a decision either way without the member clubs having a say and voting on it. The league is there for the betterment of all clubs. I’d be pretty sure that majority of the other clubs would not vote to kick out a club, but would work with keeping them in the SFL wherever possible.Courtney Fish wrote:Thought the SFL might have grown some balls under new leadership. However, I agree that if they can’t field an A Grade side, they should be made to field a C Grade team like Hackham did years ago. Not growing and developing their junior program is now coming home to roost unfortunately and it will be a LONG road back to being competitive from here. Especially with Porties doing so well in all grades and just being up the road.
Interesting 12-18months ahead for the Shoes.

Re: Southern Football League
I see the who ever plays Noarlunga will finish at 2.25pm, hoping the clubs can get together and organise either female games or Sunday junior boys to fill the gap, pretty sure the kids and even senior girls would jump at the chance to get on display on a Sat arvo. It doesn't feel right not to have a full day of footy.

It's going to be an absolute circus, they're likely not to have U15 or U17.5 teams either.Show Time wrote:I see the who ever plays Noarlunga will finish at 2.25pm, hoping the clubs can get together and organise either female games or Sunday junior boys to fill the gap, pretty sure the kids and even senior girls would jump at the chance to get on display on a Sat arvo. U15 division will be down to 8 teams, hopefully the SFL don't repeat the sins of the past with their scheduling and actually fill the gaps caused by Noarlunga & Ironbank,

Re: Southern Football League
Let's hope that is not the case or Noarlunga are toast. I can't see why the SFL would let them have x 2 teams in the Saturday comp, that is a joke. Sunday 13's and C grade could be the best option or if the 13's are too good, they fill the spot at Ironbank games on the Saturday... either way it's shit show.wenchbarwer wrote:It's going to be an absolute circus, they're likely not to have U15 or U17.5 teams either.Show Time wrote:I see the who ever plays Noarlunga will finish at 2.25pm, hoping the clubs can get together and organise either female games or Sunday junior boys to fill the gap, pretty sure the kids and even senior girls would jump at the chance to get on display on a Sat arvo. Re: Southern Football League
On the positive side, if their U13 team is too good, they can win the club's first junior flag in 120+ years.Show Time wrote:Let's hope that is not the case or Noarlunga are toast. They still have teams listed in PlayHQ for U15 & U17.5, but don't have anywhere near their own number of players required, and would need a heap of top ups from kids not selected at other clubs
