Ian Cox is the new coach of Flaggies. Used to coach Brighton previously.

He replaces Donald Dickie who has taken a development coach role at the Eagles.

Kangys have moved to the Hills League.

Thats all I know.

Clay Sampson

I believe that Clay Sampson has left South Adelaide and will be playing for Morphett Vale this year.

Aldinga lost a few so again should again add further to their cutlery drawer.

Theyve lost Adam Walden and some others to Tantanoola in the Mid South East League.

I hope so blue boy!

Pre-season started last night, but I was still at work. Heard there was 50-60 training, but dont know if any new players were among them.

Depth is something we need at Flaggies- anyone here is more than welcome to join up. Training from 6pm Mondays and Wednesdays at Flagstaff Hill Primary school.

Go the Falcons!

I hear Noarlunga have picked up a new coach and a few new players also.

Then again at this time of the year everyone has, havent they?

Southern league really needs to get its act together this year as it is starting to loose creditability as a strong league.

Dont know about that Clay Sampson comment, my sources from that club tell me that he isn't and is currently training at south still after his shoulder op late last year.

Good that there is a place to chat to others about local footy and regional leagues!!

With the Falcons winning the under 18s last year it should help a bit with depth - I know the C's made the finals and the A's missed out - I would hate to see Clay Sampson at Morphett Vale all they need is to be stronger hey.

Go you Falcons

Still being at work is not a good way for a captain to lead by example.

What is all this talk of FALCONS, i thought Flagstaff Hill were called the "BUSH PIGS", why the hell did they change their name from that? LOL

Any predictions early on for ladder positions or top 4\5 - Morphies, Noarlunga, Reynella, Brighton, Happy Valley.

Spoon to Aldinga or Hawks.

Darkhorse - Porties, Flaggies??

The rest to make up the numbers....

It was changed about 10 years ago along with our legendary song - still dont agree with the decision - once a bushpig always a bushpig ranger.

Can anyone confirm the latest news floating around that someone passed on and left a substantial amount of money to the pt noarlunga footy club. Talking in the 000,000's possibly more?

Geeze if this is true then we could see one very powerful football team!!

Can we also have a vote on returning the SFL grandfinal to Port Noarlunga it just isn't the same when it is not there!

Cheers and beers!

Qwerty have heard the same rumour but no confirmation.
Can anyone tell me who is coaching southern hawks this year??
smithy

rang a mate of mine who is on the committee at porties and he hasn't heard anything about a cash windfall.

Then again it wouldn't surprise me to see the president and treasurer turn up for the next training in a new porsche.
