Hong Kong sixers

Post by locky801 »

yet another comp just watching on Fox.

Hong Kong super sixers.

Teams from all over the world, alot of the retired brigade playing

Massive crowd

Looks like 6 batters, 6 Overs, 6 wickets only to fall and 6 fielders.

Tonkathon.

Game just watched between Hong Kong and Bangladesh.

Hong Kong needed 30 off the last over, never in doubt, 4 x 6 1 x 4, 2 wides. win the game off the last ball

How many more variations of this game can we get

For cricket's sake, none, but I'm sure Gen Z who get bored with any sport longer than a tik tok video, it'll come down to a 1 over game soon!

Hong Kong invented the Rugby 7's(&10's) and Cricket 6's
6's have been around for over 25 years
There have been some outstanding players over the years
We use to go dressed up (ala 7's) - I don't remember a game in the 4 years I went
IIRC, HKCC hosted it for 1-2 years but stopped due to behavoural problems
