BRADMAN IN WISDEN
Edited by Graeme Wright
The 100th Birthday edition of Bradman in Wisden looks at the extraordinary career of Sir Donald Bradman, the most effective batsman in cricket’s history, assessing how and why he became a worldwide sporting legend and Australian hero.
Published to coincide with the anniversary of The Don’s birth, the book features beautiful archival photography capturing the pivotal moments in his career. A fine selection of essays as well as match reports that bring to life Bradman’s many triumphs as cricketer, captain and great sportsman.
Bradman in Wisden develops a portrait of this unique cricketer, evaluating the man, the legend and his legacy. There are articles by Sir Donald himself, along with Neville Cardus and many of cricket’s foremost writers – including R. C. Robertson-Glasgow, John Woodcock, Gideon Haigh and Philip Derriman.
Bradman in Wisden is a must-buy for any cricket fan and the perfect Father’s Day gift.
Author details: Graeme Wright was Editor of Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack for 8 years, where his hard-hitting ‘Notes by the Editor’ prompted the Daily Telegraph to comment that he ‘raised the quality of the editorial notes to a philosophical art form’. He has published several cricket books to critical acclaim, including Betrayal: The Struggle for Cricket’s Soul.

I remember Chappelli telling the story that when Burbridge Rd was renamed Sir Donald Bradman Drive, his Mum refused to cross that road, let alone drive down it.am Bays wrote:She went to the funeral just make sure he was dead....dedja wrote:Did Chappelli’s mum write the foreword, I heard she was a fan.
