I said to a former colleague who was a professional breeder "change is as good as maternity leave hey?" When she announced she looking for a new career. Mind you she had dislodged 4 kids in about 6-7 years and took 6-9 months off each time.

We had a manager who did similar but only had the 3 kids in pretty rapid succession and took maternity leave.
Management finally worked out how shit she was at her job when every single time her replacement well and truly outperformed her.
After she came back from the third maternity leave she was gradually “moved on” and ended up leaving

I thought he was going to flatten the GM and I had to ask the GM and Finance Director to leave the building for an hour.

They simply haven't thought this through and it's been an unmitigated disaster.

16/2 Members attached to Task Force Horizon conducting inquiries at Oak Park Station in connection with the disappearance of four-year-old Gus Lamont on 27 September have concluded searching for evidence today.

Inquiries are ongoing and it is anticipated that Task Force Horizon detectives will remain in the area tomorrow, Tuesday 17 February.

An update on the search activities will be provided as they progress.

As a result of a previous search at Oak Park Station, Task Force Horizon detectives have today arrested a 75-year-old from Grampus and charged them with firearm offences. They have been bailed to appear in the Peterborough Magistrates Court on 6 May.

Acting Officer in Charge of Major Crime Investigation Branch Detective Inspector Andrew Macrae said the charges are not related to the disappearance of Gus Lamont nor a previous incident at Oak Park Station in October 2025 involving media attending the property.

I remember sitting on the future Mrs Jimmy's roof watching the hills above Burnside on fire
Mount Osmond / Stonyfell / Wattle Park were all ablaze

Clearly remember looking up at the hills from the quadrangle at Glengowrie HS and seeing more smoke than hills.

Over the last 3 months they've put a line of demarcation between sales and operations. I'm on the sales side.

Two big wigs from Melbourne are flying in in formation this morning to update the branch "In a town hall meeting for all staff". I've been told it doesn't impact sales, it does impact operations.

My guess, around 11am this morning the two from Melbourne are here to make my manager redundant and tell 8 factory staff they no longer have jobs.

What this means for me? I don't know.
What happened with that gig you had a chat about last year?
Given they're air con / refrigeration they've had to park the process over the Xmas / peak summer period, got an email last week asking if I was still interested, I confirmed I was. My guess is they interviewed 4 or more and probably came back to 2 of us. Depending on todays happenings I'll call him on the way home.
That's good timing, hope it all works out mate.
2nd interview on Thursday.

Similar, except I lived in town and we had a huge tree in the front yard - all the kids in the street came around and we climbed the tree and watched the hills burn at night.

Eerie.
My new Mantra - I am no longer available to things and people that make me feel like shit
