Hay is a wicketkeeper on debut replacing Blundell who injured his hamstring in the first test. Hay has played ODI's and T20I's for NZ already.

This ^

I’d be embarrassed if I was asked if I needed one, let alone take up the offer.

For the 100th time, I will go to my grave not understanding why it’s a thing.

Both openers scoring tons in both innings wouldn't have happened many other times.

Funny though Latham won't score 100 runs for the series next summer.

Broadly this also affects footy as the pay TV $$$ are finite
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Sporting organisations world wide have been gambling on the quantity over quality to secure higher tv deals. Using more games as their negotiating tool. There’s now so many T20 comps worldwide. We’re seeing the NRL & AFL take the same approach with their ongoing expansions. Saturate the market with less than elite games and eventually the market speaks with their feet and their remotes controls. Interesting times to come for sporting organisations with their business model reliant upon broadcast deals.
