Lycett owned the ruck and showed he’s the best player in this comp
Haines controlled the back lines
Port dominated every line and hence win easily

Lycett proven to be a total cheat code.

Most dominant player in the comp when he wants to (and he knows when to tap the accelerator when needed) since he’s walked through the doors.

Didn’t have many disposals today but asserted himself when needed.
Took the ball out of the ruck many times today as he normally does

It's great that he's playing in the Adel Footy League, but wouldn't you expect him to be dominating? Played AFL, and was hardly a dud, up until 2023.

The more ex-AFL players that come back, the better for the comp. But, a recently retired 2m+, 100kg+, AFL player should be dominant.

Just hope more keep drip-feeding back to the Adel Footy League.

I think that one falls into a would a Div 5 team beat a 1 Reserves debate. the natural thing is to think if an Afl player picked up 20 in afl he'd pick up 30 to 40 in ADFL. But they need to work harder because of skill levels. Not as well structured. All those things.
I thought yesterday was a terrific day for AdFL in general as an observer with no allegiances to either though the game itself a bit of a fizzer. And was great to see and meet other clubs from other divisions in the league room.
But there certainly seems to be more ex sanfl and afl players filtering back to adelaide fl.

C's might have had an even chance as well, if not for the 18-3 HT free kick count, that finished up at 27-8.

Do clubs really count the free kicks in C grade these days?

I watched the D1R GF live and the D5 GF last night

D1R would win it - much cleaner skills

The strong div 1R teams like districts on the weekend and the likes of goody saints in their past dominance of div 1R would be at div 3 standard at least
