Re: 2025 Adelaide Footy League - Division 2
Interesting how everyone was saying Goodwood Saints would bounce straight back up to D1 - it's been 2 years now
It's not easy getting back up anymore (as we are about to find out)

Re: 2025 Adelaide Footy League - Division 2
I watched them play twice last season and it was pretty obvious why they were relegated from D1. Good team, but not a great one, I think losing Carter in the ruck left a bit of a hole.Jimmy_041 wrote:Interesting how everyone was saying Goodwood Saints would bounce straight back up to D1 - it's been 2 years now

Tea Tree Gully 16.13 (109)
Athelstone 7.5 (47)
Well done to TTG thats a big win
Just wondering Athelstone seem to make a lot of grand finals, have they won one in recent years?

Strange game really. 28 mins into the first quarter Raggies led by 2 goals in what was a pretty even contest. Out of nowhere Gullies rattled on 9 goals in just over 11 minutes. Game over. Critical moment came after Gullies kicked their 3rd goal. Athelstone ruckman came to the bench, but his replacement couldn't get on in time to contest the centre bounce leaving a 4 against 3. Gullies won the clearance and slotted their 4th. Athelstone players looked a little rattled for a while and Gullies took control. Apart from that 11 minute period the rest of the game was pretty even.locky801 wrote:Gullies well and truly doing a number on the Raggies

I was really disappointed with the game - not because of the outcome - but I definitely had higher expectations of the quality of the game itself based on the second semi.
Congrats Gullies !

Tea Tree Gully District Football Club wishes to announce that our Senior Men’s Coach, Justin Maschotta, has made the difficult decision to step down from his role and will not be coaching the club in season 2026.
