Minor premier and outright Hogg leader Flys Flagpies saved their season in Division IV with a comfortable win over the Knights who weren’t at the table in their semi-final. It’s been a big year for the Knights up from Division V last season but they will be benched in IV for at least one more year after this season’s big improver got the job done. Fly always looked likely to be promoted and duly won through to Divvy III with a pretty good score in what was a lower scoring week of SuperCoach than the past couple of weeks. In the other Semi the Rookies were too good for Pigs Arsenal whose finals failure is now complete. Pigs went out in straight sets as they put in a particularly poor shift to fall well short of the Rookies’ total. So well done, Brad your Rookies are up to Division III next season

Preliminary Finals
1st Preliminary Final
Dream Team 2423
Brad's Rookies 2339
2nd Preliminary Final
Flysflagpies 2525
The Bye 2492
It's the end of the road for Lightning McQueen as his The Bye fell 33 points short of the number one ranked team in the Hogg to miss out in the Division IV Grand Final. The Bye has gone so well this year that Stickers might have to consider a name change for his team in Division III such is the improvement. Fly has been untroubled for much of the year but it's been a much tougher than expected finals series which shows just how strong Division IV was this season. Somehow it seemed tougher than the league above it this season and the mighty Flagpies were a big reason for that. In the other Prelim another high scoring team Dream Team won it's way through to the Grand Final in a more comfortable fashion as Brad's Rookies fell short of the mark. Bad luck Rooks but hey it's up to Divvy III you go.
In the Grand Final you have to select Fly as the winner given the heavy scoring they have shown all season. It would take a huge effort from Dream Team to pinch this one as Fly's season has been so good that he might even get promoted as high as Division I given his scoring exploits, still, right now Fly has a flag to win and I think he does that this week.

Beaten by a better operator, if I took Xerri back in over Tenglish to replace Grundy then it would've been the difference, rookie error thinking Tenglish would go big against the Eagles.Rik E Boy wrote:Preliminary Finals

I also need educating on how the boost works, I had 4 trades left plus a boost leading into week 1 of the finals, used two trades and a boost and ended up with only one trade left, forfeited about $300K too, I learnt a fair bit this season, hopefully I can improve on it.
Cheers REB for running such a well oiled machine, your efforts are appreciated,
HOGG SHIELD DIVISION V WINNER 2018.

Re: Hogg Division IV 2025
Grand Final
Flys Flagpies 2680
Dream Team 2471
Congratulations to Flys Flagpies, the Division IV premiers for 2025. Fly has been outstanding this season, not only has he won this premiership relatively easily (despite a scare from The Bye in the prelim), he's also topped the Hogg rankings to be the best Hogg coach in 2025. It's not too often Division IV has the best coach in the Hogg but that was the case this year. Fly of course will be in Division III next year but due to the sensational scoring form of this season, he could end up as high as Division I next season, depending on any pullouts which is an annual event. On this year's scoring, he would not be out of place. It was a brave run from Dream Team who fell short on the day.
