Change of coach at Glenunga - be interesting to see how they build their list again as it seems to me the failure in 3 GFs in 3 attempts does not rest solely with the coach but a fair bit with the playing group

It's an interesting one.
People with more knowledge than me say the 2024 Glenunga team was way better than the 2023 one.
Yet - I just cant see 2024 Port Districts would have beaten 2023 PAOC.

Do you think Dizzies 2024 was better than 2022?
The Rams record during the minor round speaks for itself but I think they were over rated and hence thought Districts would win the GF
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

Be interesting to see how he performs. He seemed slow to process the game and make changes at times, but was okay at Athelstone from what I saw on the outer.

Also with Glenunga you have to wonder as to what extent how dominant they are at home can lead to their regular season record making them seem better than they actually are, particurlarly once you get onto some of the bigger SANFL grounds as finals venues.

But they lose at Norwood Oval in GF's though

Realise not a "big" oval per se, but still one lacking the particular unusualness of Webb

I was thinking about that when writing it
2022 Ditters (where TF does Renfrey get that from
2024 - chuck in Rose, Haines, Sharrard, Lycett and Carter (x2)
I would say yes - 2024 easily. 2024 Glenunga is a way better side than 2022 PAOC
PAOC 2022 V 2023 is no comparison
The 2023 side would win by at least 5 goals
We didn't have a forward line in 2022 other than Bartlett who was brought in late in the season because of it
Bradley, Mazzini, Davis, Brazel, Schulz & Charlton
The 2022 team came from 5th with only 10 wins & 60% & were staring at relegation for most of the season
2023 team had 14 1/2 wins & 65%
Our 2021 team would have beaten both easily - 15 wins & ~70%
But, it's all on the day

Would broadly agree with the proposition that PAOC 2021 is the best team that immediately comes to my mind.
Comfortably took care of a Payneham side on Grand Final day that included 10 league players (and that's before you starrt counting Nick Jolly and some others).
The extent to which Jack Trengove in particular was a level above everyone was a total piss take.
