Re: 2024 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
Anyway that’s the season almost done. I’m somewhat thankful get a few weeks back (although B grade still alive).
Salisbury’s to lose in both grades, best team all year.. if they can get over EP this week! St Paul’s are a serious chance this week over Fitzroy.
Glad I’m away for work this week, can take my mind off footy and give some thought to what the future holds for me, and whether I continue on.

Re: 2024 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
FWIW Bedge I’d love to see you coach an A grade club.
You’re passionate, understand the game better than many I know, massive attention to detail on opposition players, you talk straight and call it as it is, plus you’re a lovable kind of person many clubs find hard to find. Yes it’s a big commitment but what you’ve put in at the Farmers the last few years is highly credible. Whatever you do I wish you well at it.
You know as well as anyone that when the season is over lots goes through your head, but most people on here have respect for you.

Coaching is nowhere near the commitment that bedge has put in at the farm the last few years. I reckon the place would be in a different position if it wasn’t for the guy. Hope for ingle farms sake he continues on

Aww so much love, you guys are the cutest haha!
Appreciate the kind words, also appreciate making carey vomit in his mouth
Who knows what next year holds, reality is minorities just suck the life and energy out of you after a while haha! Having a crack at A grade was an aspiration for a number of years, now I don't know. Definitely wouldn't be at Ingle Farm if I did, and that has been made clear to me plenty of times - not because I couldn't do it, but apparently more valuable in my current role.
Anyway meh, enough about me haha! Salisbury vs Eastern Park let's get talking about that!! What a ripper that will be!

Re: 2024 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
Word on the street is the board have endorsed the use of CDFC for the D6 grand final.
Would be a fair crowd for the local derby should EP get over Roy’s this weekend.

Was a very good crowd at Salisbury oval on saturday as well. Cars double parked around most of the oval
Wind blowing directly across the oval didnt make for a great spectacle, especially in the first half

Re: 2024 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
Medal count tonight
1 Prior
2 Knapp
3 Henriks
Benny Russell is a proven vote getter so wouldn't be surprised to see him up the top as well
No idea for B grade, Salisbury seem too even so potentially someone from Ingle Farm or Eastern Park

Re: 2024 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
Umpires in this division barely know the rules, so forgive me for not trusting them to select votes each week.
Prior has been the standout consistent performer for me, but I think Knapp will win - he has big games early, and is an integral part of their side that plays multiple positions.
I also expect Mansell to poll well.
In the reserves, best chance from Ingle Farm will be Jakob McAuliffe - depending how many votes Burt and Coccetti steal from him, but Paul Wootton and Corey Prior should poll well for their sides also. Can't say there have been any real standouts in the ressies this year though, it's been fairly even spread.

Re: 2024 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
Congrats to Sean Hee, he’s quality - didn’t give him a chance given he only played half a season, but can’t really argue with him as a winner.
Wootton a fair winner in the B grade sandbagging in the 2’s - but I thought he was ineligible due to suspension? Or doesn’t it count cos it was the GF last year?
Not many votes in the 2’s backs what I said about no real stand out.
Bedge robbed.. can’t believe I wasted all that time kissing umpires arses for nothing!

Do they release all the votes? Count only starts at round 6, not sure why it wouldnt do all the rounds if its pre-recorded

Clubs are given an envelope with full votes.
What I was most disappointed with, is that most of the lower grades lacked top 20 updates, i think we got top 10 at the end and that was about it.
which doesn't help people like me that will want to access this stuff in 20 years time
My new Mantra - I am no longer available to things and people that make me feel like shit

Yeah it’s a bit average that all votes are available to the public post count

Re: 2024 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
Anyone give Fitzroy a sneaky chance Sat?
Lost by 79, 46 and 66 over the season, but in the QF did have 7 scoring shots to 5 in the 1st - EP with 5 straight - and kicked 3.7 in the first half..
EP remind me a little like Lockleys back in the day - they don't mind a shoot out, don't care if the oppo kick 100, as long as they kick 101.
Should be a reasonable match - do Roys have anything left, or did they play their final last week? Can Eastern Park achieve promotion and a GF berth like they've deserved all season?
One thing is for sure, despite a lot of lopsided games during the season, the top end of D6 this year has been pretty good footy.
