Anyone received anything good lately?

We had one quite a few years ago when a girl sent an email out using an "all@" email address thinking it was to just her site but it was actually all users globally for our company.

Her email was asking if anyone wanted a can of coke from the local cafe as they were on special for $1, it also happened to be on a Friday afternoon when everyone was feeling a little jehovial, there must have been 2000 replies for the afternoon, most of them telling everyone to stop replying as it was going to everyone globally, it only fueled the fire.

Years later one bloke made the same mistake as he made an announcement about one of his staff retiring, I then replied all with "does he want a can of coke?" to which all pandemonium broke out and I was summoned to the board room for a video link up with head office.

The chick that posted the initial coke email messaged me saying her whole office all pissed themselves in harmony as soon as my email hit their office, it was a proud moment.

It get's used wayyyyyy to frequently.

The best one 20 odd years ago was someone saying "I shouldnt do this but we've lost our cat in Tiwi (suburb of Darwin) if any one locates him please let us know", got lots of amusing replies from people in Alice and the obligatory "reply alls" saying dont reply all to everyone...

It get's used wayyyyyy to frequently.

The best one 20 odd years ago was someone saying "I shouldnt do this but we've lost our cat in Tiwi (suburb of Darwin) if any one locates him please let us know", got lots of amusing replies from people in Alice and the obligatory "reply alls" saying dont reply all to everyone...

For mine, this is the best bit about a mistake @all email.

People genuinely aggrieved to be included, so they reply to everyone

Then you get those that reply to all when they reply to them to tell them that they just replied to all as well. It's a vicious circle.

Was madly tidying up some loose ends before going on a few weeks leave. Thought I was done, so set my out of office message.

Suddenly remembered something, so sent out one last e-mail, before shutting down...

The bloke I sent the message to had also gone on leave & set his out of office message.

Came back later to a couple of thousand messages between me & the other guy, continually replying to each others out of office message.

What a cak!

Maybe it was hundreds, not thousands. I didn't count them, just deleted them.
