I've traded agressively to try avoid relegation, I was out of trades by Rd17 or 18
Ouch that hurts. I've been there many times before.
And that’s the siren! The minor round is over and Greedy Guns, a team that should have been in Division II has not surprisingly, topped the division and is the favourite for the premiership and is unbackable to get the spot back he threw away back in March. Who knows, Greeds might be back in Divvy III next year ha ha. Other teams who go into the finals looking good Crow Call who have been on a consistent run of late, Golden Fleece and Killer Wombats who qualified in fine style in the last round of the season. A couple of sides who were dominating earlier in the season are going into the finals with no form at all. Cathy’s scoring has been down while the Trotters have gone from being the best team in the competition to a straight sets candidate. The second and third highest scoring teams in the league somehow managed to miss the finals with Vamos and myself doing the headscratching but not enough wins was the simple answer we seek. Going down to Division IV are four unlucky teams, especially Hand Solo as seven wins should be enough to save your hide. I think all four who go down will make finals in Divvy IV next season, such was the quality of their play this year. Looking to the finals I reckon Greedy and Crow Call will win their promotion next week and I’m liking Blighty to upset the King and Golden Fleece to put the Wombats out in the knockout finals.
Greedy Guns and Crow Call both earned promotion to Division II after solid showings in their qualifiers in the first week of the finals. Cathy’s Clown a bit unlucky to be on the losing end after posting 2500 but Trotters weren’t in the race as their scoring fell well short once again. The Wombats must love it when I write them off because every time I do it they hit back and this happened again when the Wombats lived up to their name by Fleecing the golden ones to send them packing in 2024. In the other knockout Blighty got the job done with both winners scoring well. In the semis this week four teams are playing off for the last promotion spots and I reckon Blighty should have Trotters covered fairly easily while Cathy’s Cream should hang on against the Wombats who will be happy I’ve tipped against them again. Cathy not so much.
Congratulations to Cathy’s Cream who has qualified for Hogg Division II for the first time and Blighty Teasdale who returns to Division II. Promotions were earned on the back of fairly conclusive wins in this weekend’s Division III semi finals. The Trotters have been struggling for some time and even though they managed to garner a few more points this week, they didn’t have the answer to Blighty’s barrage. Cathy’s Cream has been the more consistent side of our leading ladies and she represents the female coaches in the Preliminary final after a destroyation of the Wombats who couldn’t back up their Elimination final efforts. In the Prelims I reckon Greedy Guns should be able to fix up Cathy’s Cream while the Crow Call will be too loud for Blighty.
Well, two finals wins at any footy club would be classed as a successful season and Blighty Teasdale FC is pleased with the outcome. Live scenes in my avatar.

You got me a week too early. Copped injuries on Sunday and I am out of trades. Will be leaving for O/S tomorrow so I don't know when I will have access. Need some luck on the selection table.
For every one I miss I am closer to a hole in one.
Heads up Divvy III. The top eight will be promoted to Hogg Division II next season. Because Premier and Division I only had 16 teams, we need extra teams from lower divisions so that we can get back to our eighteen teams per league structure again next season.
Greedy Guns always looked a likely Grand Finalist after missing the deadline and coughing up his Divvy II spot this March. Benny proved he belongs in Divvy II by topping the ladder in July and toppling his nearest rival Cathy’s Cream in August in a tightly contested Prelim Final. Cathy has had a top season this year and was bit unlucky to cop the guns as many other sides were decimated on the weekend by the SuperCoach carnage that washed across the land. In the other Prelim Crow Call got over the line in a lower scoring match which ended with Blighty getting done Woodville style in the Prelim after showing so much promise this season. Greedy Guns have been the best side for the majority of the second half of the season but Crow Call has been remarkably consistent and I don’t like tipping against them. But seeing as my tipping is rubbish that’s exactly what I’m going to do, probably to the Crows’ great relief.

Not to rub salt in the wounds but I have 2 trades left to use with no one from my starting team out. All the best this week but with Day and Comben out injured for you, it looks brink.

You could of given me a chance and not taken the vc loop:-) The footy started over here at 11:40pm for yesterdays game. Todays games are on now but we have a luau to go to. Tomorrow we start a 7 day cruise so very limited access then. Well done Ben, if you still have trades you deserve to win. Bradbury is my inspiration

Cheers mate. Bloody Heeney a late out will give me a donut but will hopefully hang on. I think I'd be in trouble if Day and Comben played. Enjoy the holiday.
