KING PAT AND HIS DISCIPLES PUNT CLUB 2023

Post by Booney »

Morning all,

Last year was quite onerous by way of placing bets and we’ve been unable to secure any bonus cash ( at this stage ) so we have $1200 to play with.

We thought long and hard about how to go about this and we’ve decided to run with a Cup Day bonanza. If anyone would like to join the conversation regarding how we set it up as a group we’re open to suggestions.

After a lengthy process of establishing I am no good at maths we arrived at this :

Lightning McQueen, Bum Crack, Spargo, Pat Pirate, MT79, Corona and Brodlach 1 – You will be picking the Early Quaddie. 1 pick in each leg 7 x 7 x 7 x 7 = $2401 – 10% = $240

Picks must be in by 9am Tuesday

Daisy 1, Shano Mac, JK, Jimmy041, Gadj 1, Mickey and Bertie Beatle – You will be picking the quaddie. 1 pick in each leg 7 x 7 x 7 x 7 = $2401 – 10% = $240

Picks must be in by 10am Tuesday

The below players have $25 as follows :

Brod 2 – Race 1
JK2 – Race 2
Hellboy Coopers – Race 3
Gadj 2 – Race 4
Dutchy – Race 5
LM Jnr – Race 6
Daisy 2 – Race 7
Carey – Race 8
UK Fan – Race 9
Booney – Race 10

10 x 250 = 250

250 + 240 + 240 = 730

1200 – 730 = $470

Everyone picks one runner in the Cup we will then

$270 on the First 4 numbers ( We will no doubt have double ups )
$200 on the trifecta numbers ( As above )

Dutchy will post BSB and Account details tomorrow. Payment to be made by COB tomorrow please.

Enter "PAID" in here.

Is everyone ok with the strategy?

Our view was go wide on some exotics and try to jag something worth jagging.

The plan looks good. Questions will be asked of the board dependant on the result to shareholders

Looks good lads, I'll watch on with interest.

Only thing to work out would be what happens if you get a double up in the quaddies.
1) $240 leads to a bigger than 10% share.
2) Stick with 10% and therefore have more money to put into the cup first 4 and trifecta.
3) make people select again.
4) Booney/Dutchy to pick a replacement.

(All are fair responses, and I doubt anyone would be too upset with whatever you do, just worth determining now so you don't have to make a last minute decision on cup day).

We'll add in the Race selection from the 10 races above or 4) the Board will review.
