Australian Survivor
Just finished this week's episodes.
I'm staggered at the poor gameplay.

Interesting.
I thought the pairs had to stick together once purgatory became a thing.
If they had a crack at each other, and then 3 came back, all of a sudden the singles would outnumber the pairs.
Granted the attempt to flush the idol was poor, but everything else seemed reasonably standard imo.

I agree, this has been one of the most uneventful Australian Survivor for mine. No blindsides, just a majority picking off bottom feeders. Many have said "this is the time to make a move" and are literally doing nothing.

I recon that's the first time I've seen a 10-0-0 vote in a three way final.

Wonder what the vote would have been if Josh was up against Mark?
Think Mark wins still, probably 7-3, but was the correct move by Mark to get rid of Josh.

I expected Chrissy to maybe get 1 or 2 votes.
I thought Josh was a little too bitter towards Chrissy after he voted for her earlier...

Listened to a few podcasts about survivor and the interviews on the final 5 and it sort of shows up the edit which I think is the weakness of Aus survivor

I was listening to the Talking Tribal podcast and they mentioned their favourite American Survivor series. One of the suggested ones was season 20 Heroes vs Villains. I watched the season on TenPlay and love how much more brutal they are towards each other in American Survivor. The brutality of the jury particularly when they were ripping Russell apart was actually a good watch and provided great insite in how no one on the jury respected his game play which then showed in the votes. Russell was so cocky that he thought he'd get all 10 votes.

Caught up the last 2 weeks of US survivor.
The shorter game doesn't leave any room for errors. Not many have played perfect game from day 1

Surprised again with the Winner, especially such a dominant win

Re: Survivor: Season 22- Redemption Island *WITH SPOILERS*
I always thought there were a number of people that were just looking to give the winner their vote.
Chanelle, Drea and Rocksroy were keen after the mid-season race wars.
Hai and Tori keen to support the female finalist.
Omar and Lindsey then also jumped on board when they realised she had a idol up her sleeve.
I think both the winner and the first runner up had good cases, and in this instance they fell her way, but either would have been reasonable winners.

Re: Survivor: Season 22- Redemption Island *WITH SPOILERS*
Really enjoyed season 43.
There were a number of those sideshow stories that we saw in seasons 41&42 that could have railroaded the season, but in each case they weren’t overplayed or overpowering to the season.
Noelle’s challenges, part of her story, but she never played the victim.
Cassidy touched on being the last woman standing, but didn’t overplay it.
Karla could have played the rainbow card but didn’t, she just kept fighting on her merits.
Jesse and providing for his family. Normally I find that line a cliche, but when Jesse went home, I really felt sorry for him.
Gabler and the veterans. The yanks love that stuff and often overstate it, he walked the line well, making it a huge part of his story, but never the headline.
A great season. Not the winner I wanted (they went out at fire), but still a good winner, a surprising winner, but still deserving.
And just quietly, the eliminations at 6 and 5 were some absolute crackers.
