Of course I have this album and yes it is a ripper but for me Ozzy era Sabbath remains overrated. Yes, it is great heavy metal music but give me Heaven and Hell any day over any of the Ozzy era stuff. Unpopular opinion I know but I rarely dig out Paranoid or Sabbath or Volume 4 but later Sabbath gems Mob Rules, Born Again and Heaven and Hell are my go to Sabbath albums. I find Ozzy to be a limited vocalist (especially in comparison to Dio) and that early Sab albums tend to have a bit of filler where to me no such thing exists on Heaven and Hell.

Now I'm going to flee before the Ozzy fanbois start throwing things at me. I'm actually an Ozzy and Sabbath fan but Dio is king and I love his Sabbath stuff and I reckon Gillan was also a solid vocalist for the much underrated Born Again set.

regards,

REB
