I'm getting a new Ranger XLT and tossing up between a hard tonneau cover or a manual roller shutter.
I don't mind the hard tonneau cover, but it can draw in a fair amount of dust when I'm on dirt roads and isn't that useful for transporting anything with a bit of height.
I'm leaning toward the manual roller shutter for having the flexibility of an open tub if need be - just wondering if anyone has had experience with them and if they are a bit more dust proof compared to the hard cover?

Re: Hard Tonneau vs Roller Shutter
I'd go the roller shutter if you can't have roof rack on the tonneau.
I'd hate to have a big ute that can't hold anything over 1800mm long.

If you want to go quickly, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.

Thanks Boon, went with roller shutter in the end.
