Caulfield Cup

Post by JK »

What takes your fancy for this years Caulfield Cup?

I don’t mind the look of Homesman (currently about $11), so might have a little crack at that. Otherwise, given I rarely fare well at Caulfield (apart from last week) might just throw a few darts and place some Tris and F4’s.

Interested to hear what everyone’s keen on

I got $176 about Vengeur Masque earlier in the week, outrageous.
Moroney said last night that the bookies have the prices of both his runners the wrong way around.

I’ve backed this too purely because of your Bellflyer selection last week

Backed 2 runners for the race and they finished 1st and 2nd so can't complain, but also placed two trifecta's - First went 1st, 3rd and 4th, second went 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th .. Had the bloody first 4 if I had the balls to go for it. Good day nonetheless, but could have been a huge one!!

Probably poor form to run with post postmortems, will give myself an uppercut.

Got Homesman @ $7.25 - backed after 1st up run (as you know)
Just missed the win @ $26
That said, what great run by the winner - terrific ride from the gate! Watched the race a couple of times, sublime effort by the winner

45% of the Trifecta as well :)

Yep, I danced around the fire for the day too and the 10th in Caulfield summed up my stupidity, I'm a massive Linda Meech fan, I thought she'd win on Sircconi, I lacked balls when I went to place a tri and spaced it out too sparingly and then fkd it by using the fave as a rover and the dumb f*** didn't run a place yet Sircconi won.
