I don't foresee a great season for the 36ers. Some of the other teams have gotten so much stronger. Very interested to see what Terrance Ferguson is like though.

Agreed in all likelihood it will be a long season for the 36ers. Ferguson is an interesting prospect and supposedly a few NBA scouts were at the ABC in Brisbane to watch him and a number of scouts intend to come over and watch him in person during the season. Great exposure and opportunities for every team playing against the 36ers.

Last season we didn't make the playoffs but you're probably thinking of the 2014/15 season when we lost DJ & Ervin and replaced them with Jamar Wilson & Daequon Montreal. Most expected us to miss the playoffs but then we cut Montreal and were fortunate Brock Motum needed somewhere to play and agreed to play for his salary and DJ came back later that season replacing BJ Anthony and we went on to make the playoffs.

How are the Bullets favourite over the Wildcats tonight?

Supposedly Bairstow is going to play tonight and Matt Knight is still out injured but I'm not sure that should make the Bullets the favourites.

Bookies dont get it wrong too often. Perth have come back to the field if last night was any indication. I thought both teams were horrible, Brisbane just a had a patch where they could actually put the ball in the hoop in the third.

Perth imports didn't look as good (only one game) as they have in the past

It was a pretty dour game unfortunately for the season opener. Perth play defensive minded basketball (you would want to if you can't score) and the Bullets had three guys out injured including Bairstow who is likely their best player.

As tough as it was on the optic nerve it was good to see the Bullets get up in their first game back in front of a decent crowd at Boondall. The Wildcats damn if Prather isn't firing they look like they're going to really struggle to put the ball in the hole this season.

Double header tonight

5pm Melbourne at NZ Breakers
7pm Adelaide at Illawarra

Could've done with an earlier timeout rather than letting the lead blow out.
