Nothing more frustrating than both those things.. almost makes you wanna throw you phone

Got a cubone this morning and finally got to level 5 :)

It didn't ask me what colour I wanted to be. What is everyone else? I'm guessing I go to a gym to choose?

finally scored a charmander this morning, as well as an oddish, and abra and a crabby, evolved Ryhorn into Rydon (lv 555) - also hatched a staryu and a goldeen. I'm on level 9 and still can't beat anyone in a gym...grrr

I have a theory - not sure how accurate haha.. but I think when you evolve Pokémon they basically double in CP.. so I've been building up their CP before I evolve so they get a big boost - I now have an Arcanine at 1371 and a Rhydon at 874

Don't think they quite double.
Tested that out last night actually with an extra pidgey and geodude to see the boost they get.

Was a big boost, but not double.

Still, could be a decent idea to boost cp before evolving.

Although Powering up still seems kinda pointless and a waste of stardust/candies to me at this early stage in my game though. Because I'm so likely to catch a duplicate that's stronger than the one I've just wasted stuff trying to power up.

This is a very good point, and if I had my time over again, I would just keep catching them and transferring out the weaker ones without powering up.

You'd be surprised - ive seen an ivysaur and venasaur (failed to catch both) but have caught 8x Gravelers - it seems once you catch a type, it becomes more frequent to catch maybe? Dunno

Someone put a lure on the AO scoreboard on Saturday night, so caught quite a few in the quarter breaks including a dratini

I'm still playing.
Up to level 17, very close to 18.
Around 65 in my pokedex.

Pretty well exhausted all the new Pokemon around my area. Haven't seen anything new in a fair while.
Still clocking up the K's which is good excercise, but I need to head out to new areas and walk around.

Have heard semaphore is the best place around. Need to get out there.

Been playing this too. Level 12 or so. Best pokemon so far is an arcanine on just over 1000cp. Have caught 47 so far and only missed two that have appeared for me. Bloody frustrating...

Still loving this game, but it would be nice if the servers weren't down everyday or tracking Pokemon actually worked like it's supposed to.
