Five weeks into the season and four of the top five grades being led by Old Colls sides with the fifth only percentage having a side above the second place, Old Colls side.
One year with random results or evidence of a systemic advantage?

can't use 5 weeks of 1 season......need at least 2 maybe 3 full seasons to see if there is a pattern emerging

As a fan of statistics i understand your point.
But 4 of the top 5 in D2 also tells a story. If you wait 2-3 years cat may be well out of the bag

The clubs with a strong recruiting/junior base (school or juniors) seem to be getting stronger and those that more heavily rely on recruiting a paid side are getting weaker, rather than just college sides getting stronger. A few community clubs have also self destructed over the past few years.
Salisbury Nth are the only club left without a big junior base in Div 1, only Portland and GAZA who at the moment are 9th and 10th in Div 2, same in Div 3 with Gepps and Kilburn.

Stats are great:
45% of the top 2 divs are Old Cols sides, yet only 30% play div 1 = proof the district clubs have an advantage!
even worse, only 25% of the top 4 sides in the league are college sides!
Danny Southern telling Plugga he's fat, I'd like to see that!

The salary cap means nothing when a league side sends players back to an associated Div 1 side with a club legend coaching on the same page.
I'll also get onto the reasons why certain clubs won't join the new SANFL junior structure as well if you want!

Didn't only one NEMJFA club make the leap? Rouge age groups is also an interesting pejorative term.

Let that be a lesson to you, Port Adelaide Sturt. & Norwood You don't beat Glenelg in Grand Finals and get away with it.

What number x is is obviously the subject of fair debate, but I wouldn't have thought too many would object to 100?
Agreed; submit it to the CFL
I still pity your client in the cells
The SFL submitted a proposal to remove the age range and count all junior games at the end of last year, this was knocked back.

Moving on a week, all five divisions led by district sides with three also coming second
Div 1: TTG & PNU
Div 2: Modbury & Scotch
Div 3: Flinders Park & Athelstone
Div 4: Salisbury & Westminster
Div 5: Hectorville & Lockleys
More like evidence of systemic premature ejac..................

Re: APPS New recruiting rules - Your thoughts?
The new sports pulse feature offers some interesting data re APPS.
For example in Round 1 only 1 D1 Team played with more than 10 points (Goodwood with 14).
As far as i Can see Kilburn and Kenilworth are the only clubs using all 15?

Are the points accurate? I notice a lad that played for Elizabeth, Adam Hann is worth 6 points. Was he recruited from Barcelona FC?

I think they're an accurate representation of what the club has put in. Whether the Clubs are right in assessing their players points value is a different matter.
From the look of one Eastern club they are not.
It does not however seem to like Clubs C Grades playing in D7. Allocates TTG and AU's D7 sides 30 points!

6 points is the default for new players in until the clubs manually change to the correct amount.
