I forgot Gillespie is the coach of the Strikers, I was wondering yesterday how they're going to go under Siddons

Would have to be the most UN inspiring list of players to watch i could think of. :vom:

What people see in this crap has got me F*****D.

The fact that the captain is a 40 y.o. Victorian sums up how much of a JOKE this comp is.

Strange as it doesn't seem a dissimilar team from the one that finished the minor round near the top of the table last year

Who are the favourites?

Agree with Carey I like the look of the Renegades squad, batting order will be really stong. Finch, Gayle, Furguson, Cooper as a top 4 then White and Bravo. Assuming Nevill won't play so it'll be Wade. Bowling looks a bit thin though if Siddle and Pattinson don't play but Rimmington is a very good T20 bowler.

Sixes look strong aswell, depends on how many of the Aussie play though and the Stars look good on paper aswell. Boland, Faulkner, Handscomb, Hastings, Maxwell, Pieterson, Quiney, Stoinis, Worrall, Wright, Zampa would be their best XI.

The Thunder look to have a decent best XI with Cummins, Kallis, Sandu, Mike Hussey and Watson.

The Scorchers have a very balanced squad with no real big stars, should be around the mark again.

The Heat look pretty weak, they have 3 decent bats Lynn, Reardon and Burns.

The Strikers would have to have the most unappealing looking squad.

Hasn't Hodge got one of the best T20 records in the world?

He is a bit of a flogger but would be an excellent skipper, he'd lead by example and would take pride in his decisions.

It's been done to give Travis Head a break from leadership. I guess he could learn a bit too from someone of Brad's experience not only in t20 but cricket in general.

Hodge has got the second most runs in T20 history behind only Chris Gayle.

I don't really like him either but he's a player/assistant coach and is under contract for next season too.
