You won't get an answer, he's been perma-banned.

:( What did he do?

Not sure.

IIRC he had to pull out of the comp because work was flying him out somewhere.

Bump....

After many failed attempts at weight loss...

The doctor has prescribed a 4 month course of Duromine for Mrs Jase...

Will be interesting to see how it goes...

The poor kid has been limiting Calorie intake to about 1600/day and walking 9Kms three times/week and had absolutely no movement on the scales...

Doc seems to think this will be a kick start for her...

What are you expecting duromine to do for her?

I'm expecting that it will help her lose some weight... the Duromine along with exercise and diet should hopefully give her some results...

The doctor seems to think it will help as well...

Well a brief search suggests it helps reduce then want for food and helps the metabolism.

Though I'm not a doctor so I'll let him be the guide... He thinks it will be a good idea so we'll give it a go...

It will also decrease appetite which will in turn reduce her calorie intake even further, so by the time she goes off the duromine her metabolism will be ******.

I'd get a new doctor.

Hopefully the Doctor has also given a referral to a nutritionist to then facilitate the correct course of action once the prescription has run its course?

Given the failure of diet and exercise, I'd be looking for an opinion from an Endocrinologist before taking an amphetamine related stimulant that can be addictive...

Actually, the simple answer is to get her to eat at maintenance for a month to somewhat restore metabolism, hormone levels and reduce cortisol.

Some people just need to do more vigorous exercise to burn fat. I recomend she starts running the 9k instead of walking it. Start with small distances though and slowly increase no more than 10% distance at a time up to the 9k or further.
The weight will fall off.

Mrs HH3s doctor put her on Duramine about 4 weeks ago. Two days in, she was in the hospital with chest pains, accelerated heart rate and trouble breathing.

She was in and out of hospital for a week while the Duramine wore off.

Also, her anxiety added to the problem, because she was having attacks while she already couldn't breath.

For some reason I think Mrs Jase has some sort of anxiety problems. I think Jase has mentioned it before. Could be wrong.

That is correct, she does struggle with Anxiety, however the Duromine has had no effect on her with regards to that at all... So we have been lucky in that respect.

She is losing weight at a reasonable sort of pace so she is happy about that as well...
