Well that's gonna hurt. Try #2 to NSW. I personally don't support either state (maybe lean towards QLD coz the Gold Coast is my favorite holiday destination) but I love Rugby be it league or union. Parents are from NZ.

I dont understand why NSW didnt go for the drop goal, they had it right in front on the third tackle.

What's the thoughts on tonight. Trophy heading north again or can the blues make it 1 all. Really want to see it go to a decider.

Re: State of Origin
Thought the Blues were really good last night
, more confident in playing how they wanted to be, far better than the two games they won last year and the first game this year. Looking at those teams, if NSW win next time, they may go on to win a few series in a row.
On the Inglis try, whether the decision was right or wrong is not the issue, moreso the use of the video replay. He probably should have let himself been tackled 5 yards out, or even if he was tackled where he picked up the ball, and it would have been play on without a review, and even if they didn't score a try, NSW's next turn with the ball wouldn't have been a set of successive tackles 10mts from their try line.

Very good win last night, even better that the bar in Seminyak was full of mainly Blues supporters

The Inglis "try" evened up the "forward" pass that denied the Blues a try.
All in all, NSW were better on the night.
And how's Dave Klemmer, the big bald NSW forward?
Gus Gould calling him on the ground, while under 4 Maroons "Klemmer, love this lad, look, he's got 3 on top of him and he's still throwing them. That a'boy!"
If you want to go quickly, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.

Re: State of Origin
Know what you're getting at, swings and roundabouts, but I don't think the two incidents are quite comparable. It's more the use of the video ref because of one outcome (ie a try) and not if there was another (ie if Inglis was tackled). Somewhat of a comparison would be checking no-balls when a wicket falls but not on other deliveries.
The forward pass was called on the field, just like the dubious penalty NSW scored off from just before half time, and probably plenty of others both ways, was called on the field. Like getting a rough LBW after earlier getting a little knick on one.
Not having a whinge, NSW were comfortably the better team, and their last twenty minutes were full of authority when they've crumbled in the past.
Hard to believe that Kemmler is only 20 or 21. Going to be scary for a long time, as well as Wood and Watmough (sp?)

Re: State of Origin
Agreed. I think the on field ref got the forward pass wrong, but with no video review it stands. I think the on field ref got the Inglis one right and I can't see how the video ref could have possible over ruled it on the vision available.

Nothing new with the refs giving the Maroons a good ride. The forward pass was bollocks

Re: State of Origin
Massive win for QLD - was clinical!
David Klemmer obviously let the limelight get to his head between games 2 and 3 - he was absolutely atrocious last night! Continually shooting out the line trying to rush the QLD attack, missing first tackles and creating holes in the NSW defensive line then dropping important balls at important times.. Sucked in you grub!
QLD - too old, too slow.. no worries
