FORMER Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser has died aged 84.
His office released this statement: “It is with deep sadness that we inform you that after a brief illness John Malcolm Fraser died peacefully in the early hours of the morning of 20 March 2015.
“We appreciate that this will be a shock to all who knew and loved him, but ask that the family be left in peace at this difficult time.”

The first Prime Minister of my memory on this mortal earth
Can vaguely remember the dissmissal on TV but big Mal was the PM I grew up with until the age of 11.
Can remember room B12 on the first floor of B Block at Darwin High had a "Shame Fraser Shame" sticker on one of the fluro guards over the blackboard until the late 80s despite being put up there in late 75....
