Ahhhh, but if Victory had been in the final against Adelaide and it was hosted in Melbourne because that accommodated EST better, would that have been okay?

No it's a shit way of doing it
So essentially Perth will never host a home final unless they play Wellington which is carp
Should be either
-Nuetral final
-2 legs
-based on ladder positions
Or at very least draw of the hat
Question- do Adelaide have to share half of the gate takings and all catering money with Perth?

I agree it's shit. But I also think the FFA is aware of it, this season was about building the event and the sport. Eventually, it'll get everything in order. However, there's no way a neutral final would work in soccer in this country. A two-leg final is the ideal way of deciding. However, it's not Adelaide's fault it won the final under the current system.

Agree the neutral final won't work just yet.
Th A-League have been brilliant in the last few years imho but this was a huge error when setting up a competition and trying to give it prestige and integrity

My understanding is that gate takings are split between both sides at all FFA cup games

PS: While some would argue AU didn't deserve the home game, they also only played A League sides in the knockout games - unlike Perth.

No. A League clubs are the equivalent of AFL clubs. The Foxtel Cup was for state league clubs.

Weren't all the games played against the lower clubs played at their home grounds, not Coopers Stadium?
*EDIT*
I think im wrong.
I think they were all played at Coopers, going by the highlight video.

Well obviously, but not sure how that is relevant though.

Some of the earlier games were definitely at marden, even the Adelaide United ones.

Adelaide only played 1 game out of SA. Perth only played 1 game in WA.

Only because the new seating at Hindmarsh wasn't completed. City's home ground was deemed unacceptable.

Mid week, on local grounds and after a long flight, I know what draw I'd rather have
