I've played Coober Pedy
Greens were a bit dry. Great bunkers though

9. Mt Osmond
10. Marino (or what ever it's called now, if it's even still there)
11. Highercombe (used to be a member there as well)
Also these were a couple of good "Country Courses"
12. The Blue Lake GC (I think that's what it's called in Mt Gambier)
13. Halls Gap GC (9 hole course, with Kangaroos everywhere and amazing scenery) (also not in SA but a good little course)
Stumbled on this thread & thought I would give it a go.... I have been fortunate enough to play all on this list, and here is my ranking:-
1. Kooyonga
2. Glenelg
3. Grange
4, Royal Adelaide - sorry it is a quality course guys.
5. Blackwood
6. Loxton - check this course out if you get the chance.
7. McCracken
8. Victor Harbour
9. TTG
10. Lady Bay
Apologies to the following that I could not squeeze in - Gawler, Flagstaff Hill, The Vines. Not a fan of Highercombe or Lofty - sorry.

Can't say I've played that one. Keith down that way has a decent course also.

Re: Best Golf Courses in South Australia
Of the limited courses I've played worth noting :
1 - Kooyonga. I spent countless hours as a local kid running around in the under growth after school in summer, loved it then and loved it when I got to play it.
2 - Tea Tree Gully. Loved the lay out, played it twice and played above myself both times.
3 - The Vines. Two rounds in the last month and I really do like it there.
4 - Mt Osmond. Didn;t much like this to be honest, need one leg shorter than the other to go around it.
Best course I've played :

Just. Wow.

Re: Best Golf Courses in South Australia
I have not played Joondalup, stayed out there once when in the West for work, from what I could see of the place it looked pretty schmick.
Begs the question, should we start a "best course played anywhere" thread.... I've played some nice ones in Vic, Qld, NSW & in Thailand.... but didn't want to look like a knob.... or indeed, a bigger knob!

Looks like a good test of golf, bet it plays tough when the wind gets up.
