INSOMNIA

Been a struggle for me on an off for about 20 years now
Have been diagnosed with Sleep Apnea in the past
Of late struggling again

My health practitioner has advised weight loss, or use a CPAP machine to assist with sleeping
I've not lost weight and as a result I am The Unsleeping Giant !

Any advice from the SAFOOTY Doctors ?

Have you had bloods taken?

Doctor told me I have hypothyroidism which amongst other things affects your metabolism and weight loss/gain.. perhaps there is something similar underlying your struggle to drop the kg's?

One key thing about Hyperthyriodism is summed up , Iodine
Need foods with Iodine content like Seaweed
Some of the Brassica family of foods are said to inhibit Iodine levels :-Q
If true that's a good excuse to avoid Brussells Sprouts :)

8-10 Coopers Pale Ales and push out zzzzz's for hours.

Next question?
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

ZMA (Zinc monomethionine and aspartate and Magnesium Aspartate) is a supplement used primarily by athletes, gymnasts, and bodybuilders.

What happens if you are none of those?
Do you still wake up?

I'd wager most people are magnesium deficient, so even some mag tablets will help with sleep.

I take magnesium tablets. Used to have a lot of trouble with cramps, found they have helped

Some beers have up to 34mg/l of magnesium.

http://nutrition.about.com/od/hydrationwater/a/beer_Nutrition.htm

Beer has been brewed for just about as long as humans have been cultivating crops. It's made with some very healthy ingredients: hops, brewer's yeast, barley and malt. Beer is a good source of folate, niacin, magnesium, potassium and niacin.

Once again, beer is the answer.

Right, I've got it.

Tennis elbow is caused by the elbow being bent too often with the palm facing down and not enough with the palm facing up

It is impossible to lift up a beer, or indeed carry a carton of beer like this :

However, it is possible to lift a beer up to your mouth like this, while it is also lesson 1 in carton carrying class 101 :

I suggest carrying one carton of beer from the bottle shop counter to your car, palms face up, perhaps once per week.

Also, avoid lifting any beers with the back of your hand. This will eliminate spills and unwated tennis elbow.

Answer : It's beer.

If you want to go far, go together.

Dr Booney, I dabble in homebrewing beer, is this something Mal should perhaps look at as a remedy??

No. He's tired and has tennis elbow.

He wouldn't be able to lift the ingredients and if he managed to he would invariably get the recipe wrong, he's too tired to concentrate.

Physio has made it more comfortable without really rectifying it

What shall I try next ?
I'm thinking of Acupuncture

Amputation might be the solution.

Side effects may include lack of ability to type on forums and masturbate.
