Who xxxxed up The Forum ?

Adults should not alienate masses of people by suddenly forcing unwanted changes upon them.
Conferring with the actual users of this forum first would seem to have been polite.

Change is inevitable, South Australians in general don't like change, that's why we are looked at as a stagnant back water by the rest of the country.
Diss did have some of the mod's trying the forum out for a while before releasing it, could you imagine if he tried to fit the individual needs of every forum user into the final product, it would be a disaster.

Amongst other things, this format doesn't seem as easy to read as it was before.
The wishy-washy grey script is probably annoying a lot of folk.
Can all the print be made a few shades darker please ?
Although too pale, the headings are a good size, but a darker font for posts might lead to the
site being better accepted. Black would be best in my opinion, but at least darker than at present
would be appreciated.

It's a big change yeah, but it needed to happen. You'll get used to it quite quickly. There will still be tweaks to it, so instead of blindly having a whinge, offer suggestions as to how you think it could be better

I don't really have a problem with it.
I would like to see the current Norwood logo used though.
It's a free service that I use so can't really complain!!
However on my phone every time I open a new topic or next page the text goes huge! Any ideas??

I have issues with it on the phone too, download an app called tapatalk and try that. As a few have said give Diss some feedback and if there are genuine gripes or suggestions he'll look at changing things, he's already changed a heap of stuff due to feedback in beta testing.

At the top of every page there is a window dedicated to twitter, facebbok or whatever, and I cannot get rid ofit and cannot read what's under it. In fact I just typed under it and couldn't see my own text!
How do I get rid of the damn thing? I'm using an I-phone, is that part of the problem?

There is a feature I can have which means the mobile version is actually for a mobile. Or, the mobile version is identical. That always has problems.

In the meantime I have removed the FB/Twitter slide-ins.

But I still highly recommend using TapaTalk for any mobile device, be it tablet or phone (There are iOS, Android and Windows Phone versions). It really is a better way to browse the forum.

Just on on tapatalk- I downloaded the app Friday and started it read the forum using it. One thing I've noticed is that when I use Tapatalk and sign out of it I go on the fourm using Chrome on my phone or laptop and it suggests that I'm still online. It's obviously not a huge issue but how do I stop it from displaying me as still online? Is it a glitch Tapatalk has?

I think PHPBB doesn't really consider you online/offline as a black or white decision, it works out if you've been active in the last XX minutes. With the Internet (on a whole) being stateless, you could be sitting at your computer for an hour reading one page, and you are logically "online" but it will show you offline as you haven't had any activity for an hour

Aha yes, that's obviously what it is then because now I'm on my laptop and before I logged on I scrolled down the Index page to check if the forum had me marked as online and it didn't so there you go. Cheers Diss
