We all liked Rudd
We dont like Gillard, and most relevant, the gender argument was a major negative, it didn't stop Thatcher, and colour didnt stop Obama.
Rudd was discarded by the political Labor party not the people - big difference
The Labor Party got rid of Rudd because they didnt like him, not us
Gillard - GO
She shafted the Leader - dont cry now when it happens to you

Maybe explain to Miss Jimmy that you don't vote for a person, you vote for a party. It's the Party that makes the decisions, not just the face of it.

Technically no you don't vote for a person yet a party but you do get the leader shoved in your face so a lot will vote for that person I.e. vote their local member in so as they get that face in.

So yes, people do vote for a face, in a way but yes that's not tecnically they way it works

ill get this off my chest and so you all know I am cropping farmer who votes liberal, but what happened again last night is a dead set national disgrace. it is little wonder the country is in a mess and although I don't believe Gillard has done her best, how the bloody hell could she when for 3 years she had this evil evil man in the background. yes, she did the same, once! how many times has he had a crack since. governments are suppose to get on with the job of running the country or at least have some sort of a crack at it, not this one. remember governments are suppose to be a team and although some people don't like abbott, I actually like the team they have. no I in team!!

Actually, you do vote for a person.
Unfortunately, in my area, that happens to be Chwistopher Pyne
Funny thing is, her friends and she love watching him when he gets all worked up in Parliament, and they do call him the poodle.
Pyne might actually get his 1st first preference vote out of the 041 household.

I've not met him so I'll reserve judgement until I do.

I was surprised to discover I get on quite well with Cory Bernardi even though we don't agree on policy detail a lot, with me being the left faction of the Liberal Party! We've had a few debates over issues of disagreement at functions.
Even so, he nominated me for a branch committee position recently.

I have. He came around to a mates house of mine whilst I was there in Campbelltown and talked shit for an hour campaigning. My mates dad asked him questions he couldn't answer and he made up and excuse he had to disappear back to his office for important "meetings" in the next 20 minutes. We then, once he left went to the shops, and saw him having a coffee with someone and when he noticed us he jumped up and walked away/ This was like only 20 minutes after.
