Here's my crack at the 2013 ladder at end of minor round

1. Vikings - hard to see them dropping off
2. Flies - quality ins mixed with younger guys who have now been exposed to A grade footy should spell a good year
3. Shoes - always around the mark and have been slowly building for a while now. Mitton's last chance
4. Roos - gradual improvement over the last three years, should now expect to win most games. Won't do any damage in September
5. Cockledivers - improved a lot last year, should continue in 2013
6. Cobras - a bit like Porties, but not quite at the same level
7. Emus - on face value, not a lot of ins from last year. Would not have been happy missing finals last year
8. Falcons - unerachiever
9. Bombers - will fall far. Too many quality players gone. Will follow path of Flies and Emus from 2012
10. Hawks - splashing cash at kids for the second year in a row will see them improve
11. Saints - improving but still a long way off
12. Lions - hard to see them beating teams above them but will improve on last year and still be competitive for two or three quarters of most matches
12. Rams - better than last year but still a weekly struggle for Keamy, especially as injuries take hold and motivation falls away mid year
13. Sharks - same as the last eight or so years. Will probably show improvement during the opening month but drop away quickly after that

Agree with most of these predictions but cant understand why people think Roos are around the mark. Miles off I reckon and not sure about their draw but if its harder than last year (which it should be) They will certainly get found out.

Yeah agreed.
I think Reynella will do well as they play Christies, Edwardstown, MP and Noarlunga twice this year. They also play HV at home, Brighton at Home and Porties at Home. So you could pencil in at least 14 wins I reckon.
I don't think Brighton will fall that far from grace. A lot of outs but they have always been strong in B grade and juniors and from what's written on here the coach knows his stuff.
Cove will be up there again and with big Patty Gabb back in will help, but the loss of Luke Button and potentially Hare will be massive shoes to fill.
Surely Flaggies has to have a crack at the top 4 this year right??? Always do very well in preseason!
I see Craig Smith is returning to the Emu's anyone else returning? Beeching? Ewer?

Only aware of N.Eagleton from HVFC at this stage, but they have also regained Sugg and Marks, plus added Gordon. Not sure if there's any truth to the McNamara thing, but either way I'd suggest Valley are equal to or stronger than last year. Will be interested to see what the final Reynella list looks like.

Bit harsh afc9798 given the list Cove had in 2012 they did very well to get to where they finished, losing 3 talls before the season started had to hurt. Only lost to the shoes as they ran out of talls and Ramsey had his face shattered all in all a good year. 2013 might just surprise a few..

This is similar to my thoughts except the roos won't finish top 4 with the tougher draw I still believe the bombers are a good chance to fill that 4th spot.. Flagies to miss out on the eight and reckon you have edwardstown in the right spot..

Hard to disagree with most of that but can't have Brighton missing the eight! They have lost some real quality which may have them struggle to beat the top couple but i think they will still handle the majority of teams easily. Top 8 certainties and i still think 3rd-5th. Happy to be proven wrong

Ill have a crack.

1. Valley - won last year with a few missing. Cant be any worse i wouldnt think.
2. Noarlunga - The minor round specialists. Will win enough to finish high up again.
3. Pt Noarl - I reckon they have built something last year. Expect to be a real contender.
4. Reynella - Their kids will benefit hugely from their finish to last year. Add a couple of ins and they should be back up the ladder.
5. M Vale - A soft draw and some inclusions on and off field will see big improvement.
6. Cove - Could be anywhere between 3rd and 6th. One of those sides that seems to drop a game they shouldnt now and again.
7. Brighton - Obviously lost a few, but good depth. Their Tough draw will be their nemesis.
8. M Parks - Improved a lot last year, but now everyone is aware of what they can do. Wont win as many against the top sides this year.
9. F Hill - The whole club is doing extremely well, but just lack that polish at the top level. Similar to last year.
10. Edwardstown - Honestly dont know! Does anyone!
11. Christies - Expecting a bit more improvement under cratey. Still a long way to go.
12. Lonsdale - Just better than the 3 below.
13. Hackham - Recruited some guys that can kick and catch. They are only young though, so will take some time.
14. Marion - Continuing the long road ahead. Hopefully a bit more improvement.
15. Aldinga - I hope im wrong, but im not hearing great things. Some more cricket scores coming.

To qualify my comments, I meant disappointing compared to what they had been. Totally agree they did well with what they had at their disposal, but certainly went backwards from previous seasons where they looked a lot more dangerous.

Do have proven depth through the B grade, which may just keep them in the hunt for a 8 - 12 finishing position. Unfortunately appears to be a backward step after a few years of matching it with the real powerhouses of the competition.

Who has left? I know of smith SANFL and Shane Heinrich to Peake. Do agree tho loss of a couple of key players could send flaggies spiralling down the ladder.

Heinrich as a 'Key Player' is a bit of a stretch...
