Just watching the women's TKD and feeling very underwhelmed by it.
Don't get me wrong, TKD is a fine martial art, but I don't reckon it translates into competitive sport very well. When the aim is not to defeat someone, but to score points, the whole thing degenerates into hopping around the mat with a leg extended, chasing the other person hopping backwards. Ho-hum.
Currently watching an Aussie lass slog it out against a Swede. The Swede has attempted a number of high kicks - and upon every attempt she has fallen over with barely any contact from the Aussie. Meanwhile the Aussie lass leads comfortably, having been content to lash out with her leg every time the Swede closes to within range.

would never work, as australia would kill everyone in the comp even if it was just amatuers playing, hence the reason there is no world cup for AFL as australia would be so dominant. If it was a world sport, then yes would be good
Is that why there an Aussie Rules world cup without Aussies in it then. How about everyday people like you and me play or have Australia use players over 50 years old.
