Who is better ???

not sure how to start a poll .....but who is better .....?
Darren Lockyer or Wally Lewis ??
For me its Lockyer done it at club , SOO and Aussie level
Wally only really at SOO and Aussie level never really at club level ...
Thoughts ??

it is certainly a tough call but you gotta remember that Wally didnt start playing in the NRL/ARL until towards the end of his career as the Broncos didnt come into the comp until the late 80s, before that he was playing club league in Brisbane, for Valleys and Wynnum-Manly

Im going Lockyer, more rounded and versatile player. Lets not forget going back almost 10yrs he was one of the best fullbacks in the world.
Lockyer is amazing, he produces magic with ease, has all the time in the world, and has accomplished more than most in his career.

Summed it up well PG. Wally is the king but I think Lockyer will finish his career a better player, he is very much a quite achiever and I don't think people will realise just how good he his until he's finished playing.

Moot point.

Unless you can drop the other in the right era with corresponding outside influences, i.e. money, medical tech, professionalism, training advancement.

King Wally's training regime would probably be less than some better amateur training and develoment programs.

Put Lockyer back then with the same training and who knows what happens why do people have to label one the greatest?

Both champions of the game but Wally gets the nod for me because he could throw a mean right hook.
Used to love a big stoush and who could forget the kings stoush in origin.
