Totally missing the point. Nobody suggested he shouldnt try out.

As mentioned 100 times in this thread its the timing of the try out as Sturt have no chance to replace the player.

Please Try and keep up!!!

Whilst i understand your point, you are ok that Central announce 6 new players over this week? Not much difference as their clubs will find it hard to find recruitss also.

It’s how it is.

Yeah, it is, no different to the SANFL clubs sniffing around local teams during the season, trying to entice players out to cover injuries etc.
[/quote]

It’s totally different
1) sanfl don’t have the right to deny the transfer of an afl listed player like a local team does
2) players don’t get a pay increase to join sanfl clubs over local clubs like they do when joining afl clubs. We’ve seen delisted afl players Murphy,McHenry, burgess, smith etc…all join ammo clubs after afl careers due to more money and less commitment
3) if a local player joins a sanfl club and isnt selected and or not liking the sanfl environment they can go back to junior club before June 30 cut off. Which we see every year

Please stop pretending you understand the SANFL clubs plight. It’s very condescending.

If the player is contracted, or behind on subs they do have the right.

If the player is contracted, or behind on subs they do have the right.

From the standard player contract
7. PLAYER MOVEMENT TO SANFL / AFL
The Player will remain contracted to the Club until the expiration of the Term. It is noted and agreed by all parties to this Standard
Playing Contract that any SANFL and or AFL Standard Playing Contract will take precedence over this Standard Playing Contract
and that the rules and regulations of the AFL or SANFL will be adhered to.

It would be appreciated

Reigniting the trend of South losing a ruck in the SPP period, I'd be looking at Will Verall
