The Sutton Utd manager was all class with his post match interview. Mentioned how honoured he & his players were to be playing against such international stars in a competition they so respected.
Pity Arsenal were the opposite.

Having a soft spot for the Villa, and closely following them in the 90's and early 00's this has been horrible news. Ugo was a massive part of Villa's success during that time...

Yeah my best mate is a Villa fan and he was distraught today when I caught up with him, ironically he didn't know about it till I posted on facebook as he didn't realise he was Spurs U23s coach. My mate is fatter than me and we made a vow to keep living poorly as all these fit people drop dead. I'm sure most of the world will be behind the mighty Spurs against the plastics tonight.

The plastics up 2-1 at half time thanks to a penalty where no contact was made. Spurs looked the better team. Hopefully that dive won't be what decides the game. COYS!

Chelsea win 4-2 despite Spurs dominating most of the game, they took their chances in an entertaining game. Absolutely shattered but it was a great game.

Unfortunately when you commit to sliding in the box like that nearly ever player in the world will turn that into a penalty.

Was a silly tackle to attempt in a box, reminded me a lot of Lucas Neil at the world cup

I've never understood players sliding in for that tackle, maybe it's because I've never played soccer. See so many players attempt a tackle when players are 3-4 metres either side of the goals when keeping your feet is a better option and prevents the ref from making a decision

I think a lot of times its nerves, desperation, fear of being blamed for the goal etc. Its no surprise Son is not renowned for his defensive skills.

Its a rash tackle to make, keep your feet jockey the player to the tightest angle and back your keep to cover his near post and your other defenders to mark the opponents rushing into the box.
