I'm not sure what form warranted either of them selection. Hardie bowled 2 overs in the BBL and averaged 17 with the bat, I can't even see that he has played and One Day Cup games, as for Dwarshuis, he should concentrate on his role in the sequel to There's something about Mary, he just isn't good enough.

Is there a reason why Chris Green has never been given a decent crack at international level?

Controversial umpire Joel Wilson has once again come under the microscope for his involvement in a contentious on-field decision involving Australia.

It’s understood umpire Wilson supported the push to report Kuhnemann for his allegedly suspect action after he stood in the second Test against Sri Lanka in Galle.

Other match officials are understood to have not felt as strongly about the need to report the Tasmanian left-armer.

Wilson did not stand as an umpire in the first Test, and the report that was levelled was based on Kuhnemann’s bowling in the second Test.

It’s understood that the test revealed that much like India’s fast bowling great Jasprit Bumrah, Kuhnemann bowls with a hyper-extended arm that gives the optical illusion that it is illegally straightening.

I can’t believe the ICC haven’t cited Wilson for impersonating an umpire.

Making decisions on a spur of a moment , only to be shown up by technology or tv commentators at times
Overall, after viewing many cricket games over many years, I think they collectively to a very good job

DRS (FFS!) has shown that overwhelmingly, umpires do a great job … so much so that IMO we should piss off DRS (don't think I've mentioned that before)

There’s always going to be the odd one who’s not up to it though.
