That's a bit of an unknown. Who knows where the recruiting is failing.

Is it identifying talent?
Is it offering / being able to pay wages required to secure these blokes?
Is it just pure location of the club?
Is it the coaches and their abilities to sell the clubs plan/future when interviewing?

I do think the league coaching team has struggled to develop blokes as you touched on. Not many have become really bloody good SANFL footballers.

Draper, Davis and Sparks were great for the Panthers. Sad to see Mitchell go off with a head injury, a very good recruit.

A four-goal flurry late in the third quarter constructed South Adelaide’s impressive 34-point win against Central District at Magain Stadium.

Little separated the Panthers and Bulldogs for best part of three terms but the the hosts suddenly sprang to life deep into time-on of the premiership stanza.

Trailing by a point, South had Riley Baldi regain the lead as he cruised through with a nice finish from long range before teammate Jack Delean came to life with a checkside finish after slipping over.

Panther Bailey Pilmore read the ball well to snap on goal from 40m before that man Delean was at it again, this time soccering the ball out of mid-air on the three quarter-time siren to give the hosts a comfortable 25-point advantage.

In the contest of the tight tussle, it was a meaningful move from Jarrad Wright’s men, who moved to a 2-2 win-loss record just outside the top five while leaving the Dogs without a win from four starts.

Statistical signs were positive early for the Panthers as they led inside 50s 25-14 at half-time while also taking 27 more marks.

Coupled with accurate kicking for goal (19.5) and having as many as 12 goal kickers, it was a solid recipe for victory.
