West ham rumoured to be close to signing juve centre back Ogbonna

If this pulled off I will be pulling off at the thought of him and Reid pairing at the back

Yep gutted to lose him, think he is making a big mistake moving to the EPL as Serie A really suits his style and he will find it much harder. Apart from $ I dont understand why he would leave a team that just played in a CL final and will win the league in a canter again this season

Keep reading we're almost over the line with Yevhen Konopylanka from Dnipro on a 'free', although he's owned by a third-party. Apparently finalisng the deal with Levy in Madrid while he's there trying to tie up Toby Alderweireld from Atletico.

Konopylanka torhed us in the Europa League a couple of years ago which is where the interest stems from but I'm never sold on someone coming from a second-tier league like the Ukraine and being able to start and make an impact, especially a winger. We shall see.

Yeah drums beating pretty hard on that transfer rumour mate, sounds pretty likely. I know we'd been chasing him for a long time but seem to have now suddenly gone cold. Funny to read about some of our supporters, now that we're not in the running, questioning the the ability of Russian players to adapt to the EPL. Obviously forget the day Arshavin banged in 4 at Anfield.

follow exwhuemployee on Twitter. Dude clearly has sources inside the club. Has called every transfer, big piece of news for last few seasons I've been following.

He's said he's asked around about Borini. There is interest but only if we fail to sign a bunch of targets above him on our list. And no way we pay 8m. It'd be a loan if anything.

I reckon he can (possibly) be "OK", he never really got a settled run with us as he never did much (granted our style perhaps didn't suit him, and I dont think our manager ever wanted him). but if you were going to buy him I wouldn't be spending any more than 4-5mil.

Odds are still on Benteke signing with Liverpool.

Liverpool 1/4
Stay at Villa 4/1
Chelsea, Tottenham, Man U 14/1
Arsenal 18/1
Roma 20/1
Atletico Madrid 33/1
Dortmund 33/1

Definitely wont be at Spurs, despite our interest. Has a personal issue with Daniel Levy if I remember correctly.

If we have money and options I wouldn't go for him, but if we don't then I'd take him, because we simply dont have much up there to choose from. Having Sturridge and Benteke up front though means we'll need a separate medical room just for the strikeforce if past history is anything to go by.
