Any reason why?
What were the numbers like last weekend with the rest of the teams?
Lobethal had a team last year and from what I heard a month or so ago were going to field one this season, so was surprised when the fixture came out and they were missing.

Lobethal pulled out making it 7 teams.
We've got pretty good numbers at Barker plenty missing out each week.

Can't see any reason why it shouldn't be done all the time where clubs with excess numbers buddy up with a club from a different league struggling for numbers

I 100% agree.
Put some regulation/structure around it and it should happen.
We played a few games that were 15/16 on the field with one on the bench and all that happened was the larger space just cooked guys and we got even more injuries.

Love this idea. Would be great because player gets a game and Club receiving the player gets the numbers bolstered.
We possibly could have gone with 2 C Grade teams again this year but it was more the issue of support staff for 2 teams especially when they were playing 2 games at different venues at the same time.

I reckon if you made some rules along the lines of a player cannot 'fill in' if he's registered team have no game that weekend. Player cannot 'fill in' for a club two weeks in a row (might need some more thought) Player is not available for fill in club for finals under any circumstances. Fill in games count towards finals for fill ins registered club. I dont think you want a bloke not being available for his registered club for finals because he filled in for another teams a couple of times, otherwise no one would want to fill in.

Any one know why the Milang v Uraidla game was abandoned?

I believe there was a time change for the Milang Uraidla game. There was a stuff up communicating it to all parties. One club, Uraidla I think, rocked up at the originally scheduled time. All too hard, and the game was canned.

Pretty good season this year and the top end of C Grade is a pretty good standard these days. It's been great having Maccy in it this year and they even got a win against Hahndorf last week.
