Was told by someone involved at United it was just over 20k and that included the 2k free tickets handed out. The club was very disappointed as they could of squeezed nearly 18k into Himdmarsh and the atmosphere would of been electric. Several players very unhappy at ground condition also. The only positive was the 6 year losing run at Hindmarsh against Brisbane was avoided

On TV at least the ground looked a lot better than it did against Melbourne earlier in the year. The pitch didn't seem to obviously affect the game like it did that night.

And yeah would have though they were expecting at least 25k

The bean counters at AU believe they actually lost out last night, a full paying Hindmarsh crowd generates more money than 20k with a heap of freebies. Need to be looking after your key stakeholders which are the members who go each week.
Ground was better by all reports but still skips and bobbles off the surface at times. The only way to watch soccer is close to the action not sitting 50m back. Will take the win and perhaps a home GF still on the cards

Will be interesting to see what happens if United host the final.

The Crows play at AO on Saturday arvo so it would really only leave Sunday night as the most suitable time. Greatttt

Still, can't see the Victory losing anyway

At 3.30 Adelaide time. Would you still boycott AO for soccer if United host the GF Jim?

Dont like it but cant recall I ever said id boycott it. Clashed with Norwood Friday night who are my first priority otherwise I would of gone, have attended nearly every home game this season and 4 away games. As much as AO sucks for soccer its the only option for a GF, still maintain that a semi shouldnt of been there and the numbers reflected this

Another disappointing end to the season

Still half hour to go and down 3-0

Time to open up the cheque book for next season

Havnt got a cheque book to open. We cant compete on financial terms with the Melbourne and Sydney teams.
We are heading in the right direction, Gombau said it was a massive job to rebuild the club and that it would take 4 years to start seeing success. Its still not his side with spuds on long term contracts signed by the previous regime, once these duds are pissed off and he can bring more of his own players in we will see a marked improvement. Boogaard going is the best thing that has happened, a few more to go

Bwaaaaaaaah

United once again prove to be the second most embarrasing sporting side in Australia

Will they eat their own again

And to think a lot of Adelaideans wanted Gombau as the Socceroos manager over aussie Ange

At the end of the day the result was irrelevent compared to Frank Lowey doing a back flip off the stage and it will live in everyone's thoughts forever! :P
Best thing to happen to soccer in this country since the first boat full of immigrants!
