They would want to be good offers considering the contract he is on at the Rams

I doubt that heavily. after just having spoke to sources at the club, they say he is staying put!
From what ive heard, i doubt any club would be as easy to get a contract at than Marion was in 2010

Certaintly sounds like ITM is an ex player, who has obviously left the club on a sour note, or is using this to find a reason to their decision to leave, other then the fact they took up Paid contracts at other clubs,when they clearly arent worth it and are too embarrassed to admit it! Year in,year out,players come and go in every team, so Marion are looking forward to some new faces,which will mean a change in attitude to how things operate.
For all those who have left to challenge themselves at a higher level, good luck, and your always welcome back at any time!
For the others well....good luck,hope the money is good, ill be looking in the reserves best players lists on Sundays for your names!
And if ITM is one of those players mentioned above and usually posts under another user name, this is a weak attack at a time where the club is trying to recruit and build from the mess it was last year!

Helicopter. how many of the 10 or so players that have left are quality A grade players? biggest 3 losses in your opinion?

That's not like Marion burning bridges

it would be fair to say that on the surface that this looks like a disgrace. No club want to lose players, especially multiple. But on closer inspection its not all doom and gloom. as is with the rest of the world everyone is replaceable. Unfortunately all you doomsday prophets exacerbate the situation. why not try being part of the solution not part of the problem......

the assistant coach- wasn't really an assistant, i.e he didn't do anything but hang around, and has a history of bouncing around clubs and not seeing out the year- verdict no loss

tregoninng- average B grade player at brighton coming off the bench for marion asking for money

B Smith- retired therefore always going unless was appointed coach

Bilneys- wes was a class player, but with his brother in toe was more trouble than it was worth

Neary/Undies- came for money left for money but a shame as they held their heads up

Turner- talented but had not put it all together yet and was getting paid on potential. shame he is gone as will become a fine player and is a ripper bloke

Andrews- worst 200 a game since rob leyton- no loss

Flaherty/A knight- peripheral players who wanted money but rarely performed to a high enough standard- see helicopter kings' sunday results remark

D Knight- just an honest player, but in recent times is not playing an honest game

personally the disenchantment some of these players have is the responsibility of the club and the coach. the club would not disagree if it was asked had it made some howling mistakes. its a shame the new coach cant get a chance to stamp his own flavour on it. but perhaps they are scared about actually being coached, given honest constructive feedback, and not being allowed to try and play like millionaires

Heard on the weekend that the Marion B&F & Runner Up are signed up and playing for Ports in the S.G.L. for next season.

surprised you won a game with that many "useless" players..

they only won about 3!

What was the reason behind Ross Tregoning decision to leave the RAMS he'd been there for years?

ross went from marion in about 2002/3 to morphie park for a few years then went to brighton. he'd been plying 2's there and came back to marion when ex was appointed but decided he'd rather be at brighton if marion weren't going to pay him

tony i think is a good player. versatile and athletic. what i heard, and this is 2nd hand so take it at face value, he was a bit disenchanted with the way marion was going. not how he remembered it from a junior. then he had a fall out with the coach and ex told him not to worry playing out the rest of the year

the footy manager told me they were hopeful of him staying now that there was a new coach. have you heard any different

seen him play a few games for tailem bend in rmfl and was quite impressed if its the same person.

Bomberland - Coach and Tony Lynch had no fall out - second kid - no time to play but commit to his family!!

Sounds as tho exelby got off at the right time at the rams. Most of the a grade group from this year (including the ones who have already) have left or are about to including a lot of b graders even. I think their new coach may need to submit a c grade only or sell off the facilities just finished to buy in some cattle.

Can you explain to me how anyone at MARION FOOTBALL CLUB can sell off the "facilities just finished" how can you sell something you dont own. As I understand it the "facilities" are owned by the MARION COMMUNITY CLUB who then give money to about 16 different sports and other community projects. MFC have the the larger changeroom in one of the newer areas [not owned], and have a room opposite the away change room for storing equipment [jumpers. footballs etc.] [also not owned]. They dont even have the rights to a room for presentations [the large balcony is usually used], they also have to hold some club functions at other venues. Not whinging, just explaining.
