Not sure.
You'd think it would be somewhere.
I didn't see Wai ask a question

Never seen someone lose it more at tribal than George. Probably had it 5-4 going into the last tribal and his non committal political answers f..ked him

I feel like George’s biggest undoing was his efforts at challengers. I reckon if he put in more and showed the others he was at trying and putting up some fight he could have had a different result last night. You could tell he lost a couple of Brawn jurors because of it as well

Yep, he could have disguised his lack of trying in challenges through being just uncoordinated

While I agree his decision not to give 100% at challenges helped a lot of the Jury vote for Hayley, for mine that was just the excuse they latched onto, deep down you could see they had resentment towards him for flipping on them.
Hayley was always team brains, and the brawns could respect that, George fooled the brawn and ultimately sent them to the jury.
They couldn't respect his play and held it against him.

Don't get me wrong, I'm stoked with the result but for mine it came more from spite towards George rather than respect for Hayley's game.

Yup, a fitting opportunity to flip the switch so to speak.
I was a bit worried the winners at war (s40) use of fire tokens was going to take over the game moving forward, but seems they've jumped away from that and headed in this new direction.

You've always needed a bit of luck to win a season of survivor, but my initial read on this season is that the luck factor is going to play a bigger part than ever before.
I can see why the producers want that, means you don't get a power alliance in control for extended periods and the season becomes stale, but equally I don't want to see it turn into a board game where the chance card you draw or the number you roll on the dice is more important than what you individually bring to the game (social, physical, strategy, etc).

Not really sure about this season.
The last episode was quite bland.
Very little in the way of strategy being shown.
Just obsessed with these Beware Advantages that show up under people's feet etc

Yup, I think I mentioned that as my biggest concern after episode one, it becomes a game of luck not a game of strategy.

I'm hopeful they (producers) are just going hard early, and things will settle post merge, but I'm not holding my breathe.

So caught up with the last 2 episodes, after really feeling quite meh about the season.
Must admit the last 2 eps have seemingly been better and hopefully that upward trend continues.

I was less into it.
Didn't take a liking to Shan but now she got the flick it might be better.

The PC aspects getting pushed this season also are starting to annoy me.
Granted America has had a big change recently but reality tv is an escape from all that stuff, we'll it used to be anyway.

As for the game itself, I've found the play to be lacklustre.
Last two votes people have used an extra vote in a manner than wouldn't have changed the votes no matter what happened.
Bad play is hard to watch.

Agree the PC bollocks.
The bad gameplay is hard to watch, but we just laugh at how stupid they are.
Agree about Shan and Liana to a lesser degree, they were painful.

Still can’t believe Xander did not win. The fact he didn’t even get a vote is even more staggering

He played the perfect game in my opinion. Trying to work out what he did wrong, what he said wrong at final tribal, anything!

He obviously should not have taken Erica to final three, but I was with him and did not think she was a threat. Who would have won if it was Heather there instead of Erica, who knows?

Without wanting to come across as racist, and with the theme they ran with in this series, I don’t think he was ever going to win as a 20 year old white male  They had their black alliance and we’re sticking with it. Also think Ricard was still fuming about being voted off and had quite a big say with the jury and convincing them not to vote for Xander.

Overall, did not rate the season as much as norma, the finale just reinforced those views.

Yeah agree with both of you.

Xander clearly lose as a result of who he is rather than the game he played.
That's not to say Erika had a terrible game, but IMO the jury looked for reasons to justify her win, rather than to reward the best player.

The 'behind the scenes' element was overplayed, hopefully they tone that down in 42, but I suspect they won't as that has been recorded prior to the airing (and therefore feedback) from 41.

I liked the fact read the votes and did the reunion show live. Meant players were still commenting on their actual thoughts, not a curated response having seen the public reaction from the previous episodes.
I'm surprised they did this though, as it runs the huge risk that someone, between the final 3, the jury and the crew, could let the result slip.
They've done very well to not let spoilers come out of season 41, however it just feels like its only a matter of time before one season in the near future is ruined, just like when everyone knew Shane Gould won the aussie version.

We all won fair bit on Shane Gould with that leak, was elite :D

But agree with you 100%!

Start watching season 7 I think of Sth Africa Survivor and the post editing is something shocking. Completely over the top and unnecessary.
It's almost as if they don't have enough camera crew to film it properly as it happens
