And the Thomson's have a family connection at Blyth/Snowtown and were rumored to go last year. I think it will happen this year. Will be interesting as B/S get around with 1 of the 2 elite Ruckman in the comp.

KAPUNDA now agitating in the background for a big regional league shakeup. The boardroom at Johnson’s must be in overdrive!
Bombers committee are floating the following new league be explored:
Kapunda
Freeling
Hamley Bridge
Mallala
Balaklava
HW Eagles
United
RSMU
Eudunda Robertstown
Roseworthy to join in later years
They’re trying to anti-Gawler but other Barossa clubs don’t seem to be picking up what they’re putting down.
Very strange times in country footy at present.

I don't know if it's any stranger than what's been happening the past 5-6 years.

There have been multiple attempts by several clubs to reform the APFL/NEFL/YPFL/BLGFA over that period.
Generally surrounding northern suburbs clubs going metro/BLG and the smaller country clubs forming a new association.
SANFL has rebuffed every attempt, which I think has been the wrong approach for quite a while but what would the clubs know?
The writing was on the wall with this northern urban sprawl and the head was thrown in the sand and ignored for years.
Now it’s fully upon us and it’s becoming a joke.

Anyone else heard Hamley have copped a massive netball exodus? Heard they’ve got one team?
