Just take your hat off to Reynella, brilliant win and well deserved. A lot of that team would not of been born last time they won an A grade flag, and have to constantly put up with the crap/payouts about that. The feeling and emotion must be overwhelming, enjoy it lads well done.
And are brighton on the start of a bad streak of their own? thats 2 gf losses in 8 years now........No just stirring ;) , great year bombers, not their day, and Im sure will be right up there again next season.
Any possible retirements from either side?

Well done to the Southern League with the catering facilities on Grand Final day, a well organised day to accomadate a big crowd.
I've been to alot of SAAFL Grand Finals & none have compared to the organisation & atmosphere of SFL.
1. SFL Admission fee $7 - SAAFL $15
2. SFL Crowd huge 3-3500 - SAAFL not even half
3. SFL Umpiring very consistant & great to see the game allow to flow with no overuse of the whistle - SAAFL Totally opposite.
4. SFL Catering Plenty of grog & food that lasts til the end - SAAFL Known to run out of grog by QTR time

A great family day for all well done.

It was a great atmosphere yesterday, i think SFL fans are slowly learning to enjoy GF days again (since it's moved)
Why not let cars in though, that would definitely add to the atmosphere.
like to know what the crowd was? there were big lineups to get in through out the day.
Now the SFLneeds to just even up the competition!!!!

We won the u16 sunday one a couple of weeks ago but I guess that doesn't count hey 

Yes you did too I apologise. Was just a dig back at vics01 for putting us down for still being successful. No matter what grade a grand final win is a massive effort and well done to all winners yesterday. I saw that you wrote medal and p32 but I thought you were refferring to premiership medal. Congrats on both of those mate. No offense to the emus but was good to have someone else in the grand final for once and two teams that could have gone either way.

I thought it was great to see the Reynella crew by the scoreboard and the Brighton lot on the hill.

Huge numbers and not one hint of any bad crowd behaviour. Well done.

I managed to run into Craig Warman and asked the big question...

"2 divs next year mate??"
and he said "not sure yet mate we are looking into it!!"

Well done MPFC and Lonsdale for catering it was good buying beers off Bewsy i was surprised there were some left ;)

The whole day was a success, good footy, good sportsmanship, good crowd and cold beers.

On the game I thought it was better coaching, Reynella played contested footy, didn't let them run and continually kicked to the big men. They had a plan and executed it perfectly.

P32s dropped mark then 2nd effort diving attempt for the holding the ball was play of the day, biggest guy on field tackling the runners was typical of the day and he definately deserved the medal.

I hear they are off to Bali???
And funny to see someone had a ready made banner "Reynella Premiers 2010" after the game.

I must admit I left early to celebrate with our boys but well done to the Wineys for finally breaking through for a win ! (have the bridesmaids dresses been put in mothballs or thrown away ?? - maybe the start of a new power era ??)
I think it's great for the league to have five different clubs win flags on Grand Final day, that's the way it should be.
Of course, I must congratulate our U16 boys on a great win - a powerful performance from a great team - U14 premiers in 2008, U16 premiers in 2010, I predict U18 premiers in 2012 !!
And our U14s were gallant in defeat, well done Valleys - but watch out for the Falcon U14's in 2011 when they are a year older and stronger, they will be awesome !

... and I'm sure everyone is very sad that Cove were the only club represented on Grand Final day that won nothing ..............

Valleys 14s only had 4 players in the team that also won the premiership in 2009 so I would imagine they too will be strong in 2011. HVFC has won 4 14s premierships in 6 years (or maybe 7 years???) So why cant it win flags in older age groups???

Well deserved that Cove won nothing - heard their Mail Medalist was celebrating the 14s premiership in the after with Valleys - his brother plays in that 14s team - looked pretty comfortable.....

I hear the SFL are looking into the matter. Doesn't matter where I am from, the rules are the rules. They may have been broken yesterday.

I have no idea on this matter but you would think nobody would make a mistake like that. Who has raised the question, and if M/V lost of course this wouldn't be an issue.

I guess you are talking about the 4 under 16s that played in the 18s grand final.
They certainly did know each other.
After winning a premiership together they know each other even better.
What they achieved is price less and can't be taken away from them.
