Also happy to loan you a pair of Harry's denim shorts just in case things warm up later in the finals.

And if you have no time to research others before you bag your own oval that makes you sound pretty silly and uninformed. I believe you have played a bit of country footy. ever heard this? Even the dumbest farmer rests his paddocks!

Are you the curator down there or something tigerpie? Sounds like your a little sensitive. I think if you asked any of the players they would say it's not in good condtion. I didn't compare it to any other oval so I don't see why I need to go look at every other oval. Sorry would you like me to lie and say it's in great condition and anyone would think we played at Etihad stadium?

Quite frankly cove is no better, your car is no where near the oval and ff stands next to chf. If we were talking an a grade final then no.

At least coves is in good nick. I never stay in the car at the footy anyway so having a carpark NEXT to the oval isn't an issue for me.
Lonsdale easily the worst oval and facilities. As far as surface or playing at flaggies should never host finals games (who's been throwing grenades there) morphett vale has about 3 clumps of grass, and happy valley feels like it's on a 45 degree angle.

Although Aldinga is a hike for alot of us, whenever we've played finals there, their the oval has been in good nick.

If you read my first post i acknowledge that the oval isnt great! we've had heaps of rain the last 2 years and the oval cant cope with being used everyday of the week.Fact!!

Yeah I agree. Good size too. As long as it isn't too sandy.

Seriously so much bickering....Is it an oval? - tick, goal posts at each end? - tick, cold beer being served? - tick. Enough said. Facilities are fine. Our previous generation must just shake their heads at the crap we all complain about these days.

Every club's facilities have its good points and bad. We could go through them all but who really cares. We all love footy and should be grateful we are able to play the game we love no matter where it is!!!

Just a pity it runs east-west, is shaped like a pasty, and has trees virtually growing on the oval. But yes, always a good surface and FREE.

Marion was a bog on the weekend. Have not been able to get a mower on it. Lonsdale is the best of the rest

Bit of a contradiction there? We have grass on 95% of our oval. I can't recall anyone catching menningacoccal or legionnares desease at Lonsdale, or whatever the poor kid did at Cove a few years ago.

Belair turf have done a fair amount of work on it in the last month, verti-draining etc, and it doesnt get a heap of use so it will come up ok,as will most if the bloody rain stays away.
I think peoples aingst is more about the facilitys, but i'm sure the Lonsdale club will do their best to accomodate everyone.

The Reynella Oval was in immaculate condition last night, which each blade of grass cut at the standard 27mm in length. We had a helicopter fly in for 2 hours prior to training to dry it off for us which Tigerpie organised, much appreciated. I think the heat lamps brought in overnight also aided the ground to be in perfect condition...it's just a pity the bar ran out of Coopers Stout after training!

cant see a problem here... got 4 sticks down either end, there's no advantage to either side... harden up and play on!

At the under 8 carnival today, the lonsdale oval is in fantastic condition compared to the ovals I've seen of late
