And last week the South African over ran us in the second half and almost won.
Seems like the Wallabies can't keep up the intensity for more than a half.
Probably be the same story in HK next month.

A New Zealander has on her facebook that Australia should be ashamed of Quade Cooper...did he do anything wrong or is she just being a sook?

Congratulations Wallabies - was a very hard fought match and well deserved.

JAS are you all fired up for the northern games? We will get replays here so lucky I can't get the internet at my digs here. I can enjoy the replay in ignorance.

gdb - we haven't seen a report on your Aotearoa trip.

Hey there MK...good to hear from ya and congrats :D Can't wait for the Internationals to kick off this weekend.

Don't worry if I do post any scores on here I'll add a spoiler warning ;)

Looks like I'll actually be able to watch all the games this year including my Ireland boys as the BBC has the broadcast rights (up yours Murdoch :D ) That said we only get highlights of Eng v NZ on Saturday as their showing the Wales v Aussie game live up here instead. Good luck to your boys...expect on the 20th of course

about time we had a win against you guys, it has been a long time coming, now to keep the momentum going

as for the trip to the Shaky Isles this year, again it went off well except for the result
had a good pre game function where we all hydrated well for the big game and the ground in Christchurch is in a good location as you can walk there from the city
but bloody hell it was cold, about 6 degrees on the sunday, had to spend all day in a pub, too cold to go outside :D

going back again next year, not planning for the world cup though, too expensive
we are planning on the bledisloe cup game in Auckland for early august
what are your plans for next year??

bloody hell  we lost to the Poms

England 35 to Wallabies 18 (16-6 to England at half time)
not a good result for us or have the Poms improved a lot

apparently the most points we have conceded in a test against England

still got games against Italy and France to come over the next 2 weekends

:-o what the hell happened there then? The England games are exclusive to satellite so only saw the clips they showed on the news and that was only really that 'length of the pitch' try. I had you down for giving them a belting

At least I get to watch my boys. I'll take our mind-numbingly boring win against Samoa especially after losing last week to the Boks.

Congrats to MK  haven't dared to ring my mate yet...can still see a mushroom cloud over her house ;)

Great draw for wallabies. Group b looks like group of death. England could miss out if slightly off their game, the pumas are a good side and with the wet weather in nz the scots could produce a scrappy game to upset england. Highlight match will be samoa v fiji should be a cracker, coconut rugby at its best

Guys sorry I've been absent. But good news - stint in Papua New Guinea finishes early Feb ALRIGHT!!!
I can concentrate on really important sport things. Firstly JAS, thanks for the congratulations. Of course I'm used to being in this position with my boys prior to a World Cup.
gdb, still haven't finalised anything for next year. Mr MK really wants to go to New York and I've been promising. He will also go to NZ in a heartbeat anytime of year. However the Bledisloe in August does have its possibilities.... let me speak to him.
We can then spend RWC at the Coopers Alehouse

Good to hear you'll be back soon. Hopefully that means we'll see you back on here as a regular again.

Hope you got to see some of the games...your boys were looking pretty good (means my Munster are still the only Irish side to have ever beaten them) ah well maybe next time and watching Dan breaking the points record was a nice moment.

Beautiful thing, my Richie. I haven't even had time to swap the avatar this year.

RWC - it's such a pain. I'd really like to support it and be there....

hiya MK, booked my flights today for the Bled cup in Auckland in august
going with the crowd again, we had 17 in Christchurch last year, looking to have the same numbers or maybe even more for this year
are you heading over??

Hey gdb, I forgot to let you know. Wayne and I booked to go to Auckland so woohooo!!! We'll see you there :D

We're going in on 28 July, driving up the coast to spend a couple of days with a mate I worked with in PNG and then down to Waihi to stay with a school friend of mine from Wellington. We'll be getting into Auckland the Wednesday before the game or Thursday, one of those.

Maybe we can hook up when JAS gets here.

JAS will pm you for your itinerary. We live half a street away from the NFC so a hookup will be mandatory.
