Re: CDFC chat
Dunno,
just remember this happens EVERY year,
we have recruited 4 players so far too,
there will be more on the way,
it's only October.

Re: CDFC 2024
Players coming on from interstate wouldn't generally sign up for a local club.northerner wrote:CENTURION wrote:All our players have a club to drop back to,northerner wrote:Zac Diekman has just been signed by Kapunda (his junior club) for the 2026 season.CENTURION wrote:Some new players,
McCarty from South,

Josh Fahey from GWS.
they might need to go back if returning from an injury or hit poor form.
I suspect Zac might play more at Kapunda than the Dogs.
Apparently Diekman is in the same mould as Linke,
talent to burn, will start in the 2's but expected to step up & play A's in the 2nd half of the season.

Re: CDFC chat
Centrals will have Cochrane for another 12 months. He'll play a similar amount that Sharp did for us this year.
I'm hopeful that both Ethan East and Mihail Lochowiak are injury free and big pre-seasons. They certainly add plenty to our team

Ch 7 saying he can spend 4 weeks playing for the “magpies” after the championships. Will be interesting to see how this pans out

Add Brynn Little to that list. We forget he was a state player in 2024.azza1719 wrote:Centrals will have Cochrane for another 12 months. He'll play a similar amount that Sharp did for us this year.

Good point I did forgot him with my post. Hopeful some of the younger players get an opportunity like Tattoli and Reed for example. Alos going off the feedback I had heard from around the BLG traps and from calling in the Prelim Final earlier in the year.

Amazing to see 3 Centrals juniors picked up by the Hawks. Of course some pedigree there, with the great John Platten. Does the Hawthorn recruiting boss have some links with some of his old foes, giving him the inside tip?

A bit of history with the Dogs and HawksAerie wrote:Amazing to see 3 Centrals juniors picked up by the Hawks. Of course some pedigree there, with the great John Platten. Does the Hawthorn recruiting boss have some links with some of his old foes, giving him the inside tip?
Dew, Guerra, McCabe and Clarko in the last decade or so.. and back when Platts went over we ended up with Rudi, Lee, Flintoff and Shields all who were good contributors..
Obviously going back a fair while but history seems to be repeating..
